thing is, I was looking at the directgov website earlier, looking at the symptoms. Jeez, they could cover anything from a hangover & a dodgy curry, to ebola.

well maybe not ebola, but you get the idea

storm in a teacup, I say. sneezing.

ah, but you didn't hear them, did you?

If you weren't looking right at them they could've sneaked right up on you. Pretty stealthy I reckon. I bet if your eyes only saw in radar wavelengths, you wouldn't have seen them ;-)

I was going to say something like "don't watch it, you'll go blind, and then the man-eating plants will get you"

but Drac kind of beat me to it :-(

    love: music and my wife
hate: nothing – hate is far too strong an emotion, although I strongly dislike mushrooms
not sure: when this rain will stop

For ilkley, try Marriot Hollins Hall hotel at Baildon. Less than 15 mins drive away. If you want cheap, Ibis at Shipley

You don't need "revival" for SSS to be over the top. Or cr@p for that matter ;-)

I built one from a kit of parts c1982. I think it was from Maplin, but could be wrong.

Sounded good, but the inputs were 5-pin DIN rather than phono, which of course meant more trips to Maplins for various converter cables, as my turntable, cassette, tuner all had phono outputs.

I don't suppose it could ever have been described as "high fidelity" but it worked & it was a cheap way into separates. And being as I was doing an electronics degree, it kind of made sense.

I work in the European IT department of a big multinational.

We look after UK (4 sites), France (up to 8 sites, although they do have some IT people of their own), Czech Republic, Poland; some dealings with Ireland; Hungary coming soon. Ukraine & Romania maybe later. Israel & Turkey have their own people.

we get our corporate stuff from Tampa, FL. They look after USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile

In 9 years I have been to all our UK sites, and once to Normandy.

Shipley, west yorks. Proper hills. Half hour drive to the yorkshire dales. Trains to Leeds bradford & beyond

Moors & woods literally on the doorstep. Leeds 10 miles away on canal towpath. Best curries in the world in Bradford, only 5 miles away. Cheaper house prices than Leeds

    60 miles to Kendal. M62, M1 & A1 not far away

HP F2100 here. seems to be ok, hasn't crashed the PC yet & I've had it over a year.

I'm not exactly a heavy user though – although those that have met me may disagree ;-)

    what hairychested said.

If you can afford all these gas guzzling prestige cars, then you can afford a £500 runaround.

personally I would recommend finding a decent optician that will send your lenses (and solutions if relevant) by post AND offer you decent aftercare included in the price.

You only have one pair of eyes. don't mess with them.

I prefer the stuff up to & including Love. Not sure if I'm prepared to pay £35 a ticket though.

I first saw Southern Death Cult in 1982, I was well impressed. Saw Death Cult in their Brothers Grimm phase at Futurama festival in 1983 – again very good.

See if you can find footage from 'Dreamtime Live at The Lyceum' – IA certainly wasn't going through the motions at that gig!
