Not a pub / restaurant but Turnbulls butchers in Alnwick Northumberland do some exceedingly good pies, then nip in to the nearest chippy for a large bag of there best takeaway chips add pie and enjoy – sorted 😀

We have the M&P Urbo with all the accsessories including the carry cot which fits on to the base as well as the car seat with isofix car base hardly been used if you are interested. Has an extendable handle so will fit. We have moved on to the Phil & Teds Smart which Mrs joeyj thinks is better. Both excellent but I prefer the urbo as it is better made.

Agree with Akira on the sizing very athletic fit. Start cycles (www.startfitness.co.uk) do a lot of scott stuff at very reasonably prices although they sometimes dont have all the sizes on line but do have them in stores (well at least the Newcastle on does).

+1 for seven stories the kids love it and as the name suggest seven storeys of fun for the kids, there is also the farm right next to it. Google byker zoo and seven stories. As others have said there is the Hancock, Science and the Centre for Life there is also a theme park / zoo thing near Durham which is not far away (cant remember its name though). Enjoy the north east

You could try ziphone just google it and make sure you have the correct version. It worked no prob on my old 3GS but don’t pay for it as it is free software.

Definately skip the cd and go for sonos absolutely brilliant we have three in our house which can stream the same music or if the wife wants something different in a different room she can have it. Bose also do their 321 system and the next model up which are similar but are full 7.1 systems if you want to spend triple + your budget.

Problem with trying to sell it to a housing developer for the highest price is that the housing market in Ireland is even worse than England’s. It maybe worthwhile looking at getting permission to develop but then sit on it until the market gets better however I am not sure how long permissions last in Ireland but it’s easy to find out.

I had the Scott Scale 80 (2011) and it wa great for the money only downside is the forks they were naff and bottomed out regularly. The frame on the Scott is great and the spec is not too bad for the money you will need a new stem and wider bars as the set up is race with narrow bars etc. I have recently done the CTW scheme but I went for the maximum £1000. I have ordered one of these from my LBS in Newcastle it was on sale from £1800 down to £1150 then got an extra 10% off as I bought the Scott from them. If you can up the budget and get last years model you will get much more for your money.

Absolutely excellent and even better that he did it on a ridged. Like the part about 2 mins 20 ish when the little lad starts with oh sh@t oh sh@t. Wish my son would ride his bike rather than his scooter everywhere

We have a number of tablets ipad PlayBook and an Archos and my new purchase an acer transformer prime. You can do homework on all of them but the transformer prime is definitely the best and it come with a keyboard too. The prime is a DROID tablet and is the best tablet I have used ok there isn’t the number of applications but it’s growing everyday. Try the prime and see what you think.

Sas – I am on the one plan with three and can definitely recommend it. I tether my tablet or laptop and surf away. I get anywhere between 4 & 6 meg which is better than my home broadband. It is also truly unlimited and most sites are not blocked for torrents etc you could buy a three pre paid dongle for £30 and try it to see what speeds you get which lasts for 30 days or until you’ve used 1 gb you can then get a 3 gb card off ebay for about £6 which lasts 3 months.

Just gone through the same senario looked at very similar choices cuble ltd race 2012, boardman pro etc, then eventually found this Merida O nine pro 1000d from my lbs in Newcastle which was currently on sale down to £1150 and as I have bought from them before got an extra 10% off – bargain. Only advice would be to shop around and many bike schemes you can buy off the internet on one whippet at £999 at the moment also.

I bought the 2012 Scott karma from start cycles and it’s great the fitting is excellent with their turney thing at the back. Comes in a number of colours and for £25 down from £85 its worth a try.

Would suggest thrunton but you would need someone to show you the trails. There are numerous riders about you could tag along with them drop me a mail if you fancy a jaunt to Northumberland there are a few different places to go also around rothbury and simonside. YouTube thrunton to give you a taste of what it’s like.

I bought one of These last winter as I was going out the following day and no one had my size in. Went out first thing in the morning when it was -3 and it didn’t get above zero all day with just a short sleeved merino wool base layer on under it. It was great and have had no complaints at all and a bargain at £20 may even get another. There baggy shorts are good too and the long sleeved tops all muddy fox.

Does it have to apple tv why not go for a different media streamer which does mostly what the atv does but with added extras like playing any file type you throw at it. Not sure about netflix as I have never used this but have just bought this[/url] ok its not pretty but is excellent and you can add an internal hard drive to make it in to a NAS. Or you could look at this which does do netflix or any other streamer.

Couple of options Boardman pro hardtail only problem is halfords, other option is a cube Ltd race 2012 model which I nearly bought it has deore xt with fox evo floats up front. I have just bought the Merida O nine pro 1000d which was 1750 but down to 1150 I then ended up getting it for 1000 at a lbs in Newcastle. Just try some out and haggle especially if it’s a 2012 model

Always liked my Scott Scale hardtail before I sold it and bought my stumpjumper. Have always wanted another hardtail as I really like the ride and how they handle. Can’t wait now as I have just order a Merida O nine pro 1000d should be ready for pickup at the weekend can’t wait. Will be keeping the fsr but will probably use the Merida most of the time 😀

Yoshimi couple of choices are the tees barage then newcastle which is worth while trying. Tees barage white water rafting is good fun especially if there are few of you enough to fill two boats, based in newcastle for the night out well just google it and see. Coastaleering with AdventureNorthumberland is good too, Loneomen on here runs the coastaleering give him a shout, he also does guided mtb stuff near rothbury. Hope this helps

Where are you based if north east go to bettablast in shiremoor had my stumpy done and it is spot on. Excellent choice of colours and they clean the old paint etc and then powder coat with lacquer to finish. Cost £50 for a three piece frame in one colour would be more if you want rear triangle different colour

Raleigh Montage with Reynolds 501 tubing great bike and was replaced with a silver clockwork orange with gold rockshox and fitted with white onza porcupines. Loved the orange but looked like a dogs dinner with all the different colours.

I went for the VW Passat 2006 facelift version and have not looked back, excellent in all ways althuogh a tad expensive if you need things done to it (especially if you go to VW – £195 to replace a CV boot). Wife has a 59 plate mini clubman and loves it great for two kids under 6 and a good drive if you are in on your own. Also look at SAAB good cars and very cheap seen as they no longer exist but all parts are Vauxhall so easy to get a hold of. I had the SAAB 95 2.2 TID Vector Sport Estate and this was fantastic pity it had to go back as it was a company car

Gary M – I wasnt saying anything about freedom of choice yes take your bike if you want to but it was a bit of overkill riding his bike on the roads at CP when hew could of hired a bike (ok they are cr@p but for this type of riding who cares)

Colonel Wax – why go there on holiday as all the others have mentioned its great for the kids where you dont worry about roads and cars and they love the pools and activities that they can do.

Prices werent too bad and with a small child under 1 going abroad wasnt really what I wanted out of a holiday and was cheaper by at least £1,500. Been to CP many times now and will go back again in the winter for the christmas activities (Whinfell) and then probably back in the summer (Sherwood)
Most bikes even the good ones were only locked up with the small crappy chains you buy in the supewrmarket at CP, you can store the bikes inside as people have said above.

Superstar grips are good but you need to wear gloves with the cheaper ones and the thicker versions dont last that long. I am using Specialised BG Contour Targa Grip which is excellent about £18 a pair if you dont have the bar ends you will need some hope grips doctors as well
