I’ve had a Pair of Exustar Keo’s since I got the bike 2 years ago and they’ve been fine, only started creaking now about 3500 miles later.
As for shoes I got A cheap pair of Giro’s off sport pursuit a while back, they seem to have shoes pretty regularly.

Yep seems like I had the same feeling as the rest and I’ll just have to suck it up 🙄 . Wouldn’t be as annoyed if it wasn’t a “gold standard” lock!

I’m with ETA cycle insurance. Not had to use them yet. Competitively priced and also offer little things like paying for a taxi home if you’break down’ and accidental damage cover.

Good for when answering the phone.

They are doing quite a lot of re-surfacing at the mo, haven’t ridden it for a bit

They are just renamed rubber queens.
I haven’t had chance to ride on mine (2.2, tubeless, black chilli) too much but I have been very pleased. Managed fine at a very sloppy FoD uplift day as well as slick trail centre stuff.
If you’re worried about pinch flats you could go for the Protection ones as they’ve got stiffer sidewalls.
On a final note-check out bike-discount.de for them, much cheaper than anywhere here even with £5 postage.

We’ve got a curry challenge in our squadron, Xacutti from Jamura in bath that they spice up for us, 7x hotter than a vindaloo they claim.
After completing it I had burning ears, face and pretty much all my insides. Then cue being woken in the night with crippling stomach pain.
Still, didn’t chunder like 50% of the people who tried it!

I just pulled at mine with a hefty pair of pliers, then hit myself in the pliers once it came out, so don’t do that.

If you give me an idea of length and type of riding you want I’ll send over a few GPX files (email in profile). I would say I would show you some stuff but I’m not back up until Easter unfortunately.
I would also recommend the Tuesday night ride at Dalby Bike Barn, a few groups, loads of fun and mostly off piste stuff. I think they are also going to start running some stuff from sutton bank later in the year so keep an eye on facebook

I was only there for 18hrs, but I would go out early in the day, I did it out of necessity but it was so nice to walk around the streets whilst they were empty.

Whatever you do, don’t be tempted to tighten the external nut too much-I managed to pull a valve into the rim section doing that

Only a few have them in our club, I personally don’t and just accept it that others don’t. I found it makes little difference when its really wet anyway. Just consider it as motivation to sit on the front more 😀

I got some from bikediscount a few weeks ago-the protection ones though-seem to hold well enough-only ever used DH high rollers so don’t know how they’ll compare.
Why not stick with what you like?

Be careful not to snap the bead off. Also try a new tyre as the bead will be tighter

Ok well I guess that leads me on to the question of are there any running shops in Bristol that folks have had a good experience with?

I had exactly the same question a few months back (http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/hope-evo-levers).
I bought the race levers and have felt no need for the evo’s and no regrets since

I use DHB aeron race shorts and quite often put a pair of lycra liners (like rugby undershorts) underneath to stop rubbing-held up for days of up to 150 miles with no trouble
