I currently have 2 pairs of RCs (commuter pair and a weekend pair) the Powerlines and Hellion and to be fair they are REALLY good. The Powerlines are less ridged seem like they have a softer sole I would say ideal for a full days riding thats gonna involve some walking too. If you want something stiffer go for the Hellion its also a bit more waterpoof. But the best thing about both shoes is the d30 soles which are really good when you hit a root or something or just generally walking on shitty trail full of roots and rocks.

I think a 30mile drive to ride is not “reasonable” so that’s a clear no, IMO.

yep, I totally agree. But legally i can and with that people are still doing it. Granted the car parks are not as busy these weekends in Peaslake but people will still make the trip to out there this weekend from London.

Gawd knows how busy Peaslake is going to be this weekend!

This is the problem. I ride the Peaslake area most weekends, but it involves a 60miles odd round trip in the car thats not really “essential” these days. Legally I can do it but ethically it doesn’t seem right.

Hancocks message was clear yesterday staying at home isn’t a request. don’t be surprised if we get a full lockdown on monday. If this happens those who have pushed the rules will be to blame.

I’m on an xl, 140mm fork. I have never once considered the SA a problem- seated cruising/climbing is efficient and feels mechanically right, and the rest of the time the seat is dropped out the way and irrelevant. It’s a fantastic bike, haven’t ridden the fs since I got it. Plus, Cotic will take it back if you don’t like it.

Plus 1 on this im on the same set up. I think I run maybe 1 more stem space on my solaris than I do on my 27.5 Rocket. But I have never noticed problem with the SA when on the Solairs no matter how long or short the ride is. My only issues with the solaris is no one told the solaris its a HT the thing can smash through anything.

The first trick could be a section ender / video ender any day of the week!

Must be nice living in a country with such a well funded health service and proactive leaders. Although I am amazed they have been able to make all these temp hospitals so quick.

Most roaster will do some sort of subscription both ground and whole bean. I always suggest Dark and to people who do like a lucky dip sort of thing.

the idea of keeping it from spreading to other communities is now irrelevant because they already have if for themselves anyway.

By that logic lets just sack of the lockdown treat every day like a bank holiday and open all the pubs again. How about not making it worse. Limit the spread.

The stuff I have read online this evening boggles my mind. If you’re asking the question about travelling to ride then likely in the back of your mind you know the answer. Don’t do it! I really don’t get why people find this so complicated. If you can’t miss a few weeks riding so a virus that has pretty much wiped Italy out can stop spreading then you’re an absolute fool. If you think you’re special and “oh its only me it wont matter” well don’t moan next week when cycling is banned full stop. Also one more thing if they ban cycling think about that dr or nurse who needs their bike to get to work because they don’t want to get public transport and get sick.

Also looking for a packable jacket too as I have ditched my bag for a Evoc HipPack. Anyone tried Patagonia’s Houdini jacket?
