Beware of nail traps! An individual has been spotted planting dangerous objects on the trails in a deliberate attempt to injure the public.

A child‘s face has recently been injured by one and Police are asking for help from the public.

Be vigilant and report any information or suspicious activity to your local police station on *******.

How did you stick the cover to the hull?

Spray adhesive under the majority of the leather on the main part of the saddle. Then I used contact cement (similar to photo) along the edge, held in place with binder clips until the glue dried.

I’d be worried about not being able to stick the cover back down again well enough.

This. I’ve recovered a saddle, and you need to start with a larger piece of leather that you pull tight and trim down. I don’t think that there’s any way that I could have reused the original cover; it just would have been too small.

Please tell me we’ll be getting a “last poster on thread” displayed soon!

    +1.  The hover thing…

I’ve been pretty quiet on this thread except for some issues that I (constructively, I believe) pointed out earlier. I normally use the forum on a Win 10 PC with Firefox logged in as a subscriber. As an experiment, went on my Android 7.0 phone with Chrome. Instant fake virus popup from us.dializd261or.top/u23s/0_index0.php?mode.

One try, one popup! ITS DAMN FRUSTRATING FROM A USER’S PERSPECTIVE!!!

I’m also frustrated by the lack of updates from STWHQ…

Do you have rivnuts and access to a rivnut tool? Drilling the hole without a threaded insert is pointless…

I always appreciate when the OP comes back to the thread and says “thanks” and explains the outcome if appropriate. Otherwise, I wonder if the OP even bothered to read the responses…

    Mulefut rims +1

One thing I’ve wondered with these – I’m assuming they rely on the wheel rim (that’s being used) also being true? Or if it’s not (true), do you just use another section of the rim?

If the wheel isn’t true, just turn the wheel so that you are always measuring against the same spot on the rim (i.e. the valve stem).

    or

Is it possible that Mrs Renton recently took out a large life insurance policy on you and asked the garage to leave the seats loose as part of her devious plot to get rich quick? :)

EDIT: This is just as relevant on a replaceable mech hanger on a mountain bike, right?? 😉

    Yes.

I’m not sure what Lunge is after. I see ads on the right when logged out, but when logged in the column on the right is just text and the grayed out follow us symbols; perfect for stealth at work…

Edit – I see it now; on the main Forums overview page.

OP – have you stress relieved the spokes?

Edit – I use the squeeze 4 spokes method.

Are the pads glazed? If so, take the pads out and remove the glaze with sandpaper.

The site will be even better if I am promoted to Mod status. 🙂

I can offer my service as Mod if everyone agrees. 😀

Threads are normally the same. I volunteer at a bike collective, so see lots of BSOs. IME, they’re all interchangeable. There are some obscure/obsolete standards, though (I wouldn’t expect these to impact you).

SunRingle Mulefut rims are fantastic. Not too expensive. All that they need is a rim strip and tape to go tubeless. There’s a bead lock that is easy to seat, but still holds the bead firmly. They’re what I run on my Fatty.

the forum overview is awful for me, light blue/grey text on a white background, no contrast at all.

+1. Needs darker test like the rest of it.

Literally nothing happens other than a little dotted line appears running around the word “Report.”

Hum.  Odd.  Are you one of those who doesn’t see the button bar also?

No, AFAIK button bar has always been there for me.

Edit – used it for the quotes above.

Report doesn’t work for me, either. Literally nothing happens other than a little dotted line appears running around the word “Report.”. Win 10, Firefox, PC

Varnish in carb is very possible; you have no idea about how the previous owner used or stored his saw. So a carb clean is reasonable, IMO.

But any good 2 cycle oil should be just fine!
