Not sure I see the point of electronic mechs for a single ring set up. The cable does the same thing without any faff.

i think Hope brakes from the mid 2000’s put me off them. New piston seals every month.

Been running SRAM Guides since 2015 and both pairs have been faultless. Now on Codes as I wanted a set and to put the Guides on my HT. Again faultless. Consistent bite point.
the only time I’ve bled them is to shorten or route a hose.
Great amount of power and no fading. Don’t see a reason to spend a fortune on Hope.

Shimano seem less reliable and been in situations where the brake lever pulls back to the bar without warning.

Formula seem to get good reviews.

About 10, plus the staff and other tables in the bar. This was in Southampton.
They may have caught it elsewhere but the likelihood is that it was in the one place given that was the only time they all met up together.

It’s purely anecdotal but enough to make me think about it i.e. it could just be one person in an enclosed space.

There was a local outbreak as mentioned above.

I dont get the not wearing a mask in the shop so we can get back to normal. This is normal for now. You’re not being prevented from shopping/contributing to the economy by wearing a mask. And if we all did there would be less cases.

I’m giving it another year before events indoors etc. I can do without catching Covid tbh. 2 weeks isolation for going out on a social. No. worst hangover ever

All my mates went to the euro 2020 final and everyone in the bar got infected, probably from one person. All my friends were vaccinated. Most of them were fine. one hospitalised due to diabetes complications and another is still feeling shit.

Cases were less or similar. It only takes one person.

But if you go get a free lat flow test to take before and the next day

Going on Friday to experience them and will watch the race on tv.
Standing by Maggots and Becketss is the best bit to watch from imo.

Interests help you stand out a bit so add them in I’d say.

Agreed on finding people who have a hobby. It’s great when you want to go riding and they’re doing their own thing rather then sat bored and frustrated at home.

Yep it’s the second year we’re not there again. Stupid Covid. Hopefully we can use our tickets next year.

Will be watching on eurosport nonetheless.

If it’s a house spider it’ll die when you put it out.

I got bit by one the other day. Didn’t hurt but surprised.

Also found a orange reddish spider in the garden. No idea what that was

A lot easier to change and develop chassis and associated flex amounts than alu or carbon.

Parking price seems reasonable. There are residential parking restrictions that cover most places you could park nearby the station in Winchester now which would leave your car quite remote from the station.

Perez goes well on hard tyres on long stints while others pit around him.

Hope Gasly gets a chance somewhere else. He’s in a good environment a the moment whereas RB seems a bit poisonous unless you’re MV.

You would think that they would be able to check for active inflammation if it was IBD.

I have IBD. Chrons. But it’s very well managed now so that I’m basically symptomless.
I know there are worse people off than me but at least with IBD there are treatments.

I know how bad it can feel to have IBD/IBS. Stress makes a big difference. I think milk did a bit for me too.

Lots of research going into gut biomes.

hopefully there will be a break through one day.

    What a result.
Tom seems pretty handy on a DH bike and riding trails in his off time so loadsa talent. Ultimately he’ll probably do what pays. Although I’m sure if he had the success of Nino he’d be fine.

Bottas chassis was a write off. Hence he got a new one that LH borrowed… Not usually an issue but they have a cost cap this year.

There’s a local crap fiesta going round with some sort of tune and a crap exhaust that seems to mimic shot gun bangs at all hours.
There’s a difference between a bit of over run crackle and actual bangs. Caused quite an annoyance lately.

Could draw a comparison to Rossi vs Stoner 2008 Laguna Seca. Rossi knew he didn’t have the pace but had to just keep mugging Stoner until he forced an error. unfortunately Silverstones battle lasted less than a lap

I dont see why Cav cant manage another win next year. This year was hard and he made it. Would be good from the perspective of the last few years too.

Not sure what I’m going to have on in the background anymore. Was enjoyable

I’m sure it was a common issue on MK2 golfs for the captive nut to brake loose and spin. It required part of the footwell to be cut out and a load of weld added to the nut.

It’s fixable but depending on the location of the nut it’s a big job or an even bigger job.

There is no doubt about MV’s speed but he’s still making clumsy mistakes. He could have avoided that and he probably had the speed to win over the race but chose to try and force Lewis into backing out, except lewis was basically too committed. It even looks as if Lewis is trying to back out but then isn’t given room.

Max has previously said something about ‘if you don’t concede we’ll collide’ type thing. I’m sure other drivers have made the same comments. Ultimately he lost 25 points.

Lando and Leclerc managed to not crash despite being passed in the same corner, so you can pass there. Horner was being a jerk saying you cant pass there. I get he’s frustrated but some professionalism now and again may help.

also agree with C4 Red Bull bias. Great team but know who their paymasters are!

I see the logic of starting with a low horse power bike but it’s like you’re comparing against a 200bhp fire blade. If OP was talking about a fire blade you’d have more of a point but 70bhp is perfectly sensible and will teach you plenty.

Your cycling experience will also help with riding so you shouldn’t be a wobbler.

Snatchy how? Throttle? It’s a v twin and needs to be up in the rev range, it may get lumpy at lower speed if you’re in the low gears but it sorts it self out quick enough. It’s never been an issue. If there is you’ll adapt. In terms of handling. For how I ride it is fine. Goes around corners ok and smoothes out some bumps. It’s great though

I have a scrambler. Use it pretty much how you describe. Fast enough and loads of low down torque so being in too low a gear isn’t a huge issue. It’s my second ‘big bike’ and way prefer it over my kwak ER6 which I’d equate to owning a Ford Focus. Useful bike but boring and it didn’t inspire me to want to ride it.

Your boyfriend sounds like a terrible rider! If you’re worried about dropping it perhaps look second hand. Just be sensible and remember what you’re taught to start off with.

yeah, france only showed what they were capable of for 20 minutes against Swizterland. If they played that way for the lot they’d have won. Southgate is fine. Needs to be a bit more progressive but runner up is a great achievement. Mancini has loads more experience and they just beat us. Southgate has a devoted squad and no amount of trophies can buy that.

agree. It attracts all of the mugs from each club so you end up with the lot of them.

I’ve spent enough time at games to see the interactions between different sets of fans. I’d prefer not to sit near them but our friends always chooses seats near the away support. hate it.

‘Grealish rolling about in agony after the challenge that got the Italian booking got compared to Thomas having his shoulder popped back in and riding on.’
I didn’t see Thomas getting his shoulder back in . When he was on the ground I assume from your comment he showed no signs of suffering, no wincing, didn’t complain and continued chatting in a light hearted way with the crowd till giving a friendly smile while his shoulder was relocated, no painkillers being taken at any point.
I always find ‘my sport is more manly’ competitions a bit sad. I’m sure if you got a good kick in the ‘essentials’ you’d have something to say on the matter.

haha. I was trying to find something to say but this sums it up. Clearly OP has yet to experience either dislocating a shoulder or studs to the knee and then getting on with it.

Fairly dismayed at some of the behaviour yesterday but then it’s no surprise. Large section of football supporters are mugs. Going to a game is horrendous.

It was a good effort last night but that early goal for us was perhaps our downfall as we decided to sit back and invite the Italians on. for 90 minutes.

Can’t blame the penalty takers but wondered why the senior players didnt step up. was not sure why Southgate made those subs either. Walker and Henderson would have stood as good a chance.

Bravo for stepping up to all of them. Huge responsibility and pressure. Amazing.

I was also expecting a some antics from Chillieni at the coin toss like he did with spain. I was disappointed

Looked like Lachlan Blair wasn’t using them this weekend from his IG pics?

I see the advantages though. Back when I had boxxers I never understood Totems and the like as they were practically as heavy and looked very flexible. They’re clearly searching for more stiffness hence, 38s and Zebs with their wider tubes.

turning circle really isnt an issue when riding and never had an issue with DC’s although I never rode uphill so tight uphill bends may be an issue but you’re not buying DC’s to set uphill KOM’s.

    joefm

BS. They are no effort to ride up a hill. The only tiredness you get is from the upper body workout because they weigh a lot. Why can’t you put the same effort in on a normal bike?

For the same saddle time a normal bike will leave you more tired. You can ride further but don’t pretend you’re more knackered on a eeb.

Proof is in how fatter the embn presenters are compared the gmbn guys.

That hill is difficult as it becomes a bog when wet as it’s mostly just earth rather than rock.

I have a set on my 29″ Sherpa. Run the bike as a XC/mile bike rather than on anything interesting so set them up hard. They seem reliable. Not sure on damping compared to my pikes because of what I ride it on. This is probably no use to you
