    I have a 2007 Reign 0 with the RP23 shock.
Brilliant bike that does it all.
Mine came with a 140 fox float fork and it does feel a bit underforked but only because the maestro rear end is excellent.
I rode the bike week in week out in Southern For 3 years and loved it.

    They’re not cup and cone.
My WTB hubs, same design, had play in the bearings from new,and replacement bearings came with play.Tightening the preload never altered this and I think overtightening would move the central bearing race out of line with the outer race.
The play never affected the performance nor did they wear any quicker.

    Back to irrational.

Men dressing as women.Even if its for a laugh, fancy dress e.t.c.
The Pot Noodle advert with the ” wag” actually gives me a sick feeling in my throat.
Gay parades, with a bearded guy sporting over the top make up in a dress pouting to the camera.I can’t look.
Someone will probably come on here saying i’m suppressing some sort of latent sexual behaviour.

Walk into as many ” we buy gold ” shops as you can.
My wife managed to get the initial value more than doubled just by shopping around and haggling. She thought the first valuation was good but as soon as she said she was going try elsewhere the valuations increased dramatically.
A friend in the scrap business said that they would have offered the best price, but you would have to find one that deals in precious metals.

I know that i wasn’t supposed to do this but i changed to a 70mm,from a 110, stem and wider bars on my road bike.
I haven’t careered downhill or around bends out of control,in fact the steering feels more precise.
I don’t do racing or time trialing so aerodynamics are secondary compared to comfort.
No more back, shoulder or arm ache.
A good quality pair of tyres does inspire a bit more confidence as well though.

Is it starting from Barnard Castle ?
If it is there is a cracking small campsite at Middleton in Teesdale.Next to the river its a short walk into Middleton that has various shops, including a good butchers and a chippie.Probably 15 to 20 minute drive to Barnard. Its called Leekworth Caravan Park.

A friend bought the same model this year and was told by the dealer that it was the same carbon frame throughout the range.
This wasn’t correct. The ” base model” does have a different frame.
My friend took the bike back and put a few quid to it to get the different frame.

I had the same problem after lots of years on a mtb.
Changed the drop bars to wider ones and put a shorter stem on.
Felt to be in a far more relaxed position on the hoods but i still get shoulder ache if i try and push on too hard for too long.Probably due to tensing my body too much. You do need to get used to the road position after years on a mtb.
Without going for a comprehensive bike fit then its about experimenting.

problem with the Sub 5 and Sub 3 was that the pivot point was too high.
Produces really bad kickback climbing on anything that is a bit rough. If its got a shock that will lock then that will help.Wouldn’t go overboard money wise on a build though.

Isn’t some drivers attitudes to cyclists on the road just a reflection of changes in societies thinking.
Sports players win because they are aggressive. To get to the top in business you need to be ruthless and aggressive.Even advertising can be aggressive. And how about computer games.
I’m the only one that counts and nobody will stand in my way getting what i want.I won’t back down or give way.
We see road rage just over a parking space so it follows that cyclists will be targeted as well.

Check the agreement with the agent as i can only change or remove my agent once the original tenant leaves and the property becomes empty.
Your tenant will have a lease agreement from the agent that you could copy.
Remember that the deposit should be lodged in the governments scheme and the tenant would have to recover it through the agent. You would then have to lodge it yourself.

A few months ago i bought a 2009 Mondeo 1.8 tdci to replace my mark 3.
I chose the 1.8 because it has no dpf.I think the 1.8 was discontinued because it couldn’t meet emissions standards.

There are plenty of videos on youtube for the removal of the freehub.

The freehub can be flushed out and re-oiled if you don’t fancy buying a new one.

I can’t believe what some people are paying for a pint.
Pub down the road,£1.90 pint of bitter,£2.10 for a pint of lager or stout.Basic pub,no juke box, food, fruit machine, dart board etc.
The bags of crisps are big as well !

If you’re thinking of Spain something a bit different with great riding is the Sierra Espuna. There is a great campsite in the park,Camping Sierra Espuna, with log cabins and the small Spanish village,El Berro, has bars and restaurants.About 1.5 hrs from Alicante, less from Murcia San Javier.
There is no guide but the campsite will help with info and Orange test development bikes there.
I actually guided the couple who run Mountainbiking Spain around the Espuna.I visited their area once but didn’t see anything comparing to the Espuna.

Swapped out the handlebars and stem on my Cube road bike to wider bars and 70mm stem instead of 110mm.
A lot more comfortable and the front end doesn’t feel twitchy but a bit more precise.
The Cube has odd sizing and a friend with one also swapped his stem to a shorter one.

Prior to buying our house i had the building inspector from the local council up to look at the boarded out loft. The previous owner had turned it into a bedroom.
He said the boards and insulation should be removed as there were no vents in the roof.
He said not removing them could cause damp and eventually rot the roof spars.
When its windy you can now really feel the draught.

A friend is having to give up driving due to a worsening eyesight problem.
18 months ago he bought a new Lexus that was 60k.
7,000 miles on and the best offer was from Lexus who’d give him 33k.We buy any car 27.5k.
So much for the 50% depreciation over 3 years figures bandied about for high end cars.

With some of these developments don’t rule out the corruption that is endemic in Spain. How the EU says Rumania must get to grips with its corruption before it is considered an EU member and Spain is allowed to stay in beats me.
BBC Radio 4 did a programme with regard to the empty Ciudad Real airport.

We tend to put the minimum amount of food and drink in our van then go to the nearest supermarket once we’re pitched up.
Also the loading of the caravan is important with special regard to the noseweight and also the towball height.Ideally the caravan should ride slightly nose down, and never nose up.

Has anybody had any experience of the Premier Inn which i believe is on the quayside at Leith.
We’re looking to go in Sept for a few nights and wondered if it was too far out of the centre or the position was pretty good for most of Edinburgh.

Buy a damp meter and check everywhere, especially corners and around windows. If buying from a dealer do not trust their damp inspection readings they give you.
Hook it up to the mains and make sure all the electrics are working. The fridges are horrendously expensive to buy new.
Floor delamination is a problem,so it should feel solid and not spongey.
All the above would apply to a campervan/motorhome,but you haven’t got as much mechanicals to worry about with a caravan.
We’ve got a big porch awning with fibre poles which puts up like a tent so its pretty quick and one person.
Storage costs us £200 a year on the highest security rated site.
Don;t be tempted to buy something bigger than you really need as then you’ll be looking at a 4+4 to pull it.Double axle caravans, especially German made, are liked by the ” travelling community” so are more prone to theft.
German caravans tend to be styled a bit differently to UK vans, and are generally regarded as better built, but usually with a weight penalty.

Stripped off everything on my creaky bike but could not get rid of the noise and it gradually grew worse.Turned out to be a crack in the downtube which was slowly working its way around.

Using the inner race to press the bearing in will wreck the bearing.
A socket or an old bearing on the outer race and pressed in is the best way.

Planet X had some Vermarc tops in for £10 to £15.
I bought one and a friend bought 2.When they arrived they smelt of sweat but appeared brand new. After giving them a wash they were like brand new and good quality for the money.

Quite a few years ago a young lady knocked on the door of my elderly fathers house.
She said she was the daughter of my older brother, who is married with 2 children. This was news to my dad,but when the girl told him her surname he recognised it.Her mother had been an old girlfriend of my brother.
She wanted to make contact with her father,my brother, and gave my dad a letter to pass on.
My brother refused to have any contact with her and left it to my dad to tell her.
I felt a little bit sorry for the girl as she did not force the issue, and when she was told that my brother did not want to see her, left, and made no more contact.

I always use a 2 bolt flange type towbar as they are generally cheaper than a detachable and the bike rack suitable for this bar will also be cheaper.Just doesn’t look as nice as a detachable.
I’ve just had a quote for a Mondeo of £220 including double electrics.Thats fitting at home,£15 cheaper at depot.
You don’t need the double electrics if you’re not towing a caravan, just a single 7 pin. You’ll probably need a lighting board as well if the bikes obscure the rear lights.
I use a Thule rack which has a plate permanently on the towbar and slots in and out of it.You keep the towball on as well so you can continue to tow with the bike rack on ( watch the noseweight).
The Thule took 4 bikes but with a weight limit of i think 60kg.

    I had a Sub3 and later on a 5.
The Sub 3 was too heavy and the pivot point produced terrible kickback up rocky stuff . It was very strong frame though.
The ST4 was produced as some people at Orange felt they were losing sales due to the growing popularity of multi pivots. The ST4 frame was no lighter than the 5 but was solely brought in to fill a perceived gap.
Orange did produce prototypes with a mind to replacing the 5.
I rode one for about 18 months and felt it was a far superior bike to the 5 but was not a traditional Orange folded and welded type of design. This may have put off traditionalists.
If you’re going to make something shorter travel buyers also expect it to be lighter but in my experience Orange design for toughness and reliability first rather than cutting weight down to the bone.

The 1.8 tdci is the old Ford Lynx engine with common rail injection. It was discontinued in 2010 due to not meeting eu emmissions. All the specs i’ve read for it say no dpf is fitted.Ford did offer dpf’s as an option on some models but i don’t think it applied to this engine.
The car is a one private owner from new,ex Ford employee, hatchback and is the base Edge model.Immaculate with new Michelin tyres all round.
Price is £7790.Its was a trade in at a Toyota dealer in Lancashire.
A dealer near to me,Durham ,has 2010’s with 40 to 45k on at around £7500,all hatches.
