defo tighty whiteys and padded shorts, don’t like squirmy saddles and went out for a 25 miler the other day in loose boxers and ended up in all sorts of trouble

oh and ton, fair enough mate! I have enough trouble without having to explain my calloused ass to my next fling!

I had some 05 Vanilla 130s done and they felt miles better. Considering having something done to my f90s as I’m not getting on with them at all at the moment.

RE. Garmin – will do mate. I’m waiting for a few bits off people who have said they have posted a while ago so it may well be the sorting office is being lazy or something.

Ton, correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t I remember you putting me off my dinner by chatting about the two callous like hard patches of skin on your ass cheeks?! Padding all the way!!

I had my fox’s done and although pricey it definitely improved their feel. If you don’t mind splashing the cash I’d reccommend them.
Also, how’s my garmin coming along 🙂

Thanks for the offer grumm but yeah I think it would be a touch small, plus I know only too well that if I built one myself my budget would rapidly spiral out of control!

AndyP – I’m not yet up on all the acceptable terminology so please excuse!

Thanks for the advice guys – much to ponder. I did wonder about sizing, I guess a trip to halfords would do it. Is there any stw classifieds equivalent for roadies?

    joe1983

Cheers barca, are there any issues buying 2nd hand with a roadie? Obviously a mtb takes some stick, but is it mainly drivetrain with a road bike?
Best to stick with shimano and ignore italian stuff? Plus whats the hierachy in terms of groupsets?

Hi, just double checked and Glen Esk and Glen Lee is covered in region 10, which is in Southern Scotland. I can do you both north and south scotland for £30 posted if you want – mail in profile if interested

Hi, just checked and it looks like some of Glen Esk is just cover but Glen Lee is missed off. Got a screen grab I can send if that would help?

I’m with richpips on this – you can’t cast suspicion on someone just because they are selling the same model, you really need a little more evidence. SOrry to hear about the theft tho mate.

    No question.

    joe1983

Yes richpips in that instance there is no conflict. But (hypothetically) if a, b, and, c (or any two) ask for paypal details then what do you do? Only give them to the first that asks for paypal details? give details to them all and race them?

Ultimately a ‘dibs’ system is necessary whether it be first to offer asking price, first to ask for payment details, first to reply to add.

Yeah, but what if two people both say they want to buy it, you can’t make them race to put the money in your account, then refund the slowest. Surely, as andym says some ‘dibs’ system is needed.

The gum (fresh mint) is a lot better than it used to be. I find the 2mg gum a lot more palatable than the 4mg gum. Patches made me feel weird too actually so I mainly use the gum and when drinking the inhaler.

Get some nicotine gum, or the inhaler, or the patches! works for me – I’m sat here with the inhaler in my mouth!

My aunt has a chalet there, its actually really nice considering it’s proximity to Blackpool. It’s in the country and from memory pretty flat, some nice villages near though so I’d reccommend a road bike. Oh, and if you turn left out of the main entrance and head to the village (big central green but forget the name) there is a great pub there that does amazing food.

Never heard of salva mea, sounds like something I might have smoked in Thailand – I’ll give it a bash tho. Alasdair I have been doing exactly the same but I am getting a bit bored listening to the same songs over and over, know of anything similar but different perchance?

I liked it too! Not in a serious oscar winning kind of way, but it wastes a couple of hours at least

I’m assuming one of the front derailleurs is top swing and tother is bottom swing (like both are dual pull). The point they mount to on your frame will differ, therefore it depends what frame you have as to whether you need a top or bottom swing mech.

Shadow rear derailleur has a lower profile so is less likely to be damaged on rocks/stumps etc. I *think* that the rear mech choice is limited by the gearing you are going to run – but im no expert on this so best to check this out
