Just got back – knackered! Main bits are well drained but pretty boggy off piste – resulting in a few over the bar moments!

My parents did this about ten years ago with a family friend. No estate agents needed but would defo involve a solicitor just to be on the safe side

If you look at v10’s link it says ‘the most common items decorated are shown in our retail price list’ I clicked on it expecting bike frame etc etc. Nope. Shotguns, Rifles, Handguns, and Bows. Good ‘ol US of A

Thanks for that Stoner but will have to see if he would deliver to Manchester, as it only mentions local pick up. Had a look on London FGSS, but nobody wants to post up here

Best bet is someone who has given up on ebay, just search for weight equipment near where you live. Otherwise bench, dumbells and some extra plates are £80ish from argos. Thats all you need.

Man up and use free weights – they are gimmickless but by far the best.

Exactly the same protection through paypal that you would have if they were more established *I think*

I have just started selling on the bay and have zero feedback at the moment – obviously I know I’m honest but others don’t. I guess it is somewhat moreof a gamble than someone with a track record. My solution was to offer cash on collection, that way I can’t take your money and run. If the seller is offering this option and you are worried (and close enough) perhaps pick up?

I had shinsplints and am praying they don’t return. No idea if your shoes are the issue, but I found the only cure was prolonged rest.

Thanks guys, already stripped the threads on one set of cranks. I figured I needed a thin walled socket – anyone know where they sell them? Trial and error is out as I have already failed 3 times and it’s getting boring!

I bought a wheel off ton unseen the other day. It was a bargain, arrived the next day, and was literally like new. This time he might have got it a bit wrong, but I doubt it was intentional.

Well I’ll see if they go for it, he works from home most days so could be an added complication! Strangely my mum’s boss was all for me getting a bike on her scheme. Guess it depends how anal the people running the scheme are

I worked in a butchers shop when I was younger, and loved it. You quickly acclimatise to the blood and guts aspect until you don’t even notice it.

Cheers JoB, for some reason my toolkit comes with a crank puller, but not the bit to undo the nut. Which is a pain. LBS tomorrow then.

Good: stiffened up front end considerably.
Bad: have to tighten rear after every ride (sometimes during, although this could be that mine is just b*ggered.
