I went up last night from Bonaly past Clubbiedean res and up to Maidens Cleugh then turned at the top and went down to Harlaw. The worst bit was the rocky farm track up to Maidens, a lot of it was black ice. With all this snow we’re having just now I’d avoid it unless you have spikes, there will be to many random black ice patches lurking beneath the snow.
I was gonna go round the Pentlands this morning but it looked a tad too windy. I don’t mind rain but hate the wind. Its supposed to calm down tonight so my first ride of the year is gonna be a night ride!
What route do you take to the Hills. I’d be interested in coming along but don’t finish work till six. If you go along the old railway track passed Boswall/Telford I could meet up on the way.
Depends on the hinges. To be on the safe side I’d add the depth of the door to the width of the freezer and that should give the max width. But thats a total guess.
I was at Glentress today. It was -4*C and the hard frost made the ice look quite grippy (it wasn’t!). I did the red then blue routes. The red route was mostly ice free apart from some small sections of Spooky Wood. Some of the upper sections of the blue had 50-100m stretches of complete ice and some of the fire roads were the hardest part of the route!
Today I saw…….. Two workman on the A1 between Edinburgh and Berwick. One had a leaf blower and was blowing the leaves off a path onto the road and the other was running onto the road between cars sweeping up the leaves. Frickin bizarre!
Draught beer/ lager (if looked after) will always be better. Bottled beers are pasteurised for longer than kegs and the pasteurisation process is basically a taste killer. I used to work in a brewery and got drunk on many a night shift on fresh un-pasteurised beer :D. Even Newcastle Brown Ale tasted great when it was fresh!
Ah Touche. Without wanting to hijack the thread the purpose of Scotland, along with the rest of England, N.Ireland and Wales is to bleed the City of London dry :D 8O :wink:o
If your still in a bad mood read the thread on here called “Funny things children say” it’s hilarious and might take your mind off things. Enjoy.
Maybe read it while on the toilet tho!
My 3yr old boy has used monkey swimmers since he was 1ish. They’ve been great, he’s never complained about them. I will be buying a set for my daughter when she’s big enough. I would definitely recommend them.
