    Mmmmm…..Smoked Beer

It was surprisingly nice. The Oak one is only made at Christmas so it might be harder to find later in the year. The standard one is beechwood smoked. It was a bit rougher but still nice. The Oak is about 8% iirc so only a couple are needed :-)

I recently tried these smoked beers

The Oak Smoked (green label) one was the best.

Newborns need to be looked after (i.e. bottles etc) but once they’re crawling there’s not much point as your fighting a losing battle. I have two children fwiw! I was a manky little shit when I was wee and nowadays I never seem to pick up any of the bugs the rest of the Fetts bring home 8)

Contact the local councils noise abatement team everytime there’s a party. They record the noise levels etc and are usually more interested in your problem than the Police are.

Foil. I buy a cheap roll of it that comes with no packaging. It’s recyclable where I live so I just take it home.

I take it your commute’s not suited to a bike?

I wish! I drive a van full of equipment.

Edit: and I’m nice to cyclists :-)

    Apologies but, rant on/

Are these the Trams that will only be of use to people travelling to and from the airport? But oh, wait, would they not just get a Taxi straight to their destination? Utter, Utter waste of money. I have seen them on the go and they seem to cause more congestion. For example, out at The Gyle the traffic lights installed for the trams to cross the road were causing big tailbacks the other day, and that was out with the rush hour.

    Rant off/
Can you tell I’ve been in endless traffic jams for years due to this tram malarkey!

Babies are tough. My son was severely ill when he was born, intensive care the day after he was born. As much as people rant about the NHS they do know what they’re doing. Having gone through something similar my only advice is to look after yourself and your wife because the Doctors will do the rest. I nearly fainted in the IT unit as I had forgotten to eat and drink much for a couple of days. My wee boy had a couple of difficult years (22 admissions and 8 operations) but he is nearly 5 now and he is the best wee boy eva!! Stick in cos it will all be fine.

Edit: with a name like funkmasterp, everything’s gonna be fine

You’ll be blind drunk when you go to bed every night

Thats the plan  . Hopefully going to get more use out of the bag than just the WHW so plan to buy a fairly decent one but weight not too much of an issue.

I recently tried reducing the height of a 20ft holly tree in my garden. It looked like a tree that was cut in half! It’s now totally gone.

Chick peas, carrots and celery to bulk it up a bit. Sometimes a mug of coffee.

I’ve had the same trouble. I used to wait until the party/ noise stopped then lay my speakers face down on the floor above their bedroom, blast the music then leave it on while I went to work. If somebody screws with my sleep they’ll regret it

I’m a huge fan but will admit, as a recording artist he has been pretty lame since the mid-ninties. But as a live artist he is still an utter genius. I’ve never heard him play the same song the same way twice. His onstage improv, along with his band, is fantastic.

Your a cheat and a thief. I developed the Bald Tyre Technique (or iBiTTe) when I rode up Mount Everest in 1983. My tyres froze which resulted in the knobs chipping of my tyres. The descent was difficult but I’m still KOM with a time of 4m27s. The chain-less technique ( or CLiT) was developed when I cycled round the world. I travelled East to West and while in Cambodia my chain was kidnapped, I was forced to use the Flow and pump my way round the rest of the world. You can refer to my book published in 1974 titled Jody’s Jollies. You will be hearing from my lawyers in due course you swine.

Edit – and my good friend of 67yrs is Sir Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

To all those with a cot bed, what do you do if you have another baby?

We bought another (cheaper) cot bed :-)

Moses basket in our room (on Mothers side of bed!) for a few months. Then own room in a cot bed. It’s worked well for both of our wee ones. Recommend the room thermometer tho as its really surprising how low the ideal temp is. John Lewis cot bed has done both ours and it’s still in good nick.

Dave The Chef – sometimes known as “shave the deaf”
Dangerous Dave -He breaks things (including himself) a lot
