Red Bull are after engine parity from the Ferrari deal. If I was Ferrari I’d walk away from this. If they supply RBR with a slower engine Horner will spend all next season blaming the ‘slow engine’ if their not winning!

Or are RBR just trying to make it harder for themselves to stay?

Winterkorns resigned from VW. That’ll put F1 on the back burner I’d imagine. Wonder what Mr Horner’s thinking at the moment

After 24hrs I thought I might have got away with that. I noticed it just after the edit window slammed shut! In my defence it was predictive typing wot dun it!

Edit: Does it ride like a big oven?

I’m hoping to get a shot of one next week. I went into Evans to have a look at the Arkose 4 but they didn’t have one in. Thats when I saw the GF02. It looks really nice and feels a lot lighter than the CdF 20 I had a shot of.

Would be pretty low on any shortlist of mine and need a huge discount to be viable against other brands.

I’m open to suggestions as I have no clue about these types of bikes. In or below that price bracket. Cheers

It says this on the description.

“With the Granfondo GF02 Disc, discover an immensely capable platform that can ride the road, the trail, randonnee, race cyclo-cross, and commute, all with equal mastery.”

    I is confused.

I’ve just finished reading a really random thread that got me thinking- where the hell do you fill-up a canal boat?

I’ve a smaller chainring on my 1×10 MTB which I struggle with! The 2×11 sounds nice and easy appealling :-)

Also if you are passing kids its often better just to come past quick without shouting, as shouting can cause then to loose focus and concentration.

But scare the shit out of them. But who cares, its not as if their real people!

Cheers. The 1×11 gearings putting me off the 5 so might just go for the 4 as my legs ain’t up to much! Its this or the CdF 20 but the spec on the Arkose is probably going to swing it for me.

I always thought it good trail etiquette to allow faster riders to pass. It sounds like you should have done this, being the adult.
No I don’t have children and I don’t like being held up, or holding others up.

I constantly check behind as I’m very aware that my wee boy might hold up a big grown up while there tanking down a blue run. On this occasion the rider took me by surprise but if she had had any trail etiquette she would have noticed we hadn’t seen her.

How are you getting on with the new bike? I’m the same height and am thinking of getting the same bike soon.

I was on the Glentress Blue with my 6yr old a couple of weeks ago when cinnamon girl a female with time constraints came flying up behind us just as my son stalled on a little sharp incline. Cue the lady slamming on the brakes and doing a comedy fall as she couldn’t un-clip quick enough. I apologised and offered help but she ignored me. I apologised again, she ignored me again. I apologised once more and was once again I gnored as she barged passed us. These people with time constraints are dicks!

Some people have time constraints and don’t want to be held up by children. Cuts both ways.

Wow!! If that’s a serious statement that has to be one of the most disgusting, arrogant and pathetic statements I’ve read on this forum, and that’s saying something! That’s a human being your talking about. Would you bundle an elderly lady out the way? Just because they’re kids doesn’t give them less rights. Once again, Wow!! (Apologies if it was in jest)

I had a Fox Flux for a few years but finally got fed up of it falling forward on descents. Replaced it with the Bluegrass from CRC and have been impressed with it so far. Fits perfect and the ratchet works well and doesn’t pull my hair out like the Flux did. Sizing- Flux was a L/XL so I bought a Large Bluegrass. It’s MASSIVE! Replaced it with a medium and it fits perfect and it’s never fallen forward, even with a helmet light on.

I don’t think we’ll see a Mercedes engine in a Maclaren. Did Merc not terminate the last deal with Ron because he started building road cars which went against a clause in the contract?

Thanks for the info. The wee lads not into walking far so Glentress sounds like best option! How long does the race last?

Would it be easy or worth spectating at this? My wee lad (6yr old) has just asked to go down to watch it.

    And the winning review is-

I found the banana slices that this gadget produces to be a little thick. But I will let you into the secret of my remedy for this: Simply take a kitchen knife and trim a little off each slice. The beauty of this, is that you can then get the slices to the exact size you want*.

    I nearly wet myself!

I’ve just got back from a restaurant where a lady on the table next to us complained to the waitress that her “Stornaway Black pudding scotch egg” was too strong a flavour. She then complained her Grouse Breast was too “gamey”. Some people are just paps!!!!

The way I interpret is this. If your driving along on your own in a van you are limited to 50mph. If you fit some seats and load it with children, you can go faster!

Green Flags just before the crash

Edit – It’s scary how long the marshal waves the green flag after the crash!

I’ve just watched the video of the crash as well. After seeing how slowly Sutil crashed I thought Jules would have been going slower than he was. I wonder if the Green flag that the marshal in the tower was waving had anything to do with the speed he was going!
