If it's a material or manufacturing defect you should get a warranty replacement. 5 year warranty on the 575. The distributor will want to inspect the frame first though.

If you get no joy they will no doubt sell you a replacement. Think it's quite pricy though.

Other option is to send it to Carbonology[/url] who can repair them.

Another vote for San Gimignano. Beautiful place.

Are you driving into Florence? Don't! They have something called the ZTL which basically bans all cars except residents, 24/7 all year round. Clicky Linky We drove in and 18 months later (yes 18 months) received a fine for 140 euro.. It's basically a tourist trap.

Venice, sit in St Mark's Square and enjoy a drink or a coffee. Very expensive but you are on holiday after all. Then go and get lost, just go for a walk down all the alleys you'll end up at a canal or the sea eventually. We spotted Gondoliers heading for lunch in a back street restaurant and followed them in, cheap, good food.

    As above.

Love mine, normal wheels and gears!

Light and can take a fair amount of abuse.

Don't know about being common as muck, never seen another one when I've been out.

In the US the Superlight is $899 and the Heckler $999. So it would make sense that there would be the same price difference in the UK. i.e. £899 and £999.

Let's hope this is the start of a re-adjustment of the whole market to more sensible prices for everything.

Don't have any pics but I love my ScandAL. Very light and surprisingly comfy over long distances.

Built with 100mm Fox and XTR bits from my 'old stuff' box.

Extremely capable bike. Copes with a bit of rough well and enjoys chasing bigger bikes.

To loose that amount of weight you're looking at frame, forks, wheels and tyres.

Ruling out frame and forks I would get some new wheels and tyres.

£300 would get you some Hope Hoops with Stans Flow or DT X500 rims and some nice new rubber.

The MET Office have emailed me personally to suggest a new route of a loop called 'The Pub'. It is under consideration…

I was contemplating a lap round the sofa and into the kitchen for tea.

What about some solid food. Search the cupboards. Dried fruit, nuts, cereal, honey sandwich?

Mix fresh OJ with water, 60/40 and add a bit of salt.

A Snickers from the local garage is always a good backup.

RP23 on mine, works a treat.

Don't really notice it working but the little rubber ring on the shaft is always just at the end after a ride. 😕
