27 ha! Hope you still have the magic then, I suppose the danger with your situation is that your guys are just together because you're scared of being alone.. I'm sure you're not though, just, it does happen, right?

Yeah, the marriage/baby crew get tiresome for us singletards (well for me anyway).

I just want someone who's fun to be with, romantic, pretty, sweet, and not really high maintenance.

That sounds like quite a big ask actually! They all got bagsied ages ago ;o)

Well misfits, quirky types, takes all sorts etc. It said up there about accepting one's faults and stuff.. I KNOW I'm a bit weird.

Sounds like I want to take up climbing.

Hey, if we're having a single misfit's amnesty can I join in? Singletonworld ride sounds excellent but too far away for me (any singleladyworlders in Spain?). Also I would be worried things might get a bit competitive, what tyres for rutting?

I watched Grosse Pointe Blank the other day, hadn't seen it for ages, quality film, kind of a comedy and kind of a romcom though, not too romcommy though.

Are the brake pads quite new? Could it be that the material fell off one side (are they supa star pads ;o) ).. Just a thought.

How about some Wellgo ones that are very similar to V12's but cheaper, nothing wrong with DMR pedals but they're not that great. They are a little small for my feet (I run V8's and have size 12's).

The thing is building wheels on proper tubeless rims is a hassle, the Mavic ones have wee bolts that hold the nipples in (I think), I suppose Stans just thought it was easier to put a strip in.

I used to have a surly instigator with a dodgy pair of nitromorzed marzocchis of some type on it..

    MRP for me too.

I think you do need a guide really for 1×9 unless you are only riding really mellow stuff.

Hey Tom, I have one. An 18 but I'm 6'4'' so it's as small as I could really go, It cruises well and could imagine it being pretty good for hardtail downhill but it's a bit long and slack for park and jumpy stuff really, I had a 17.5'' surly instigator before and that felt more nimble.

Restless Natives is a classic, or how about Home? ;o)

Or Wickerman, Braveheart (euch!) or that awful one with Michael Caine, Kidnapped?

or Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the end was filmed in the Ochils..

They look very like Gusset Slim Jims which I've heard are ok but the recessing of the corner pins doesn't help make them grippy..

Well, I got some, they're fine jeans, but not really very waterproof. I may be missing something but I walk out in the rain, and the jeans get wet..

When I got them i poured a glass of water over them and it just beaded off, but in actual real rain they appear to be pretty much like normal jeans. Maybe not quite holding as much water as normal ones perhaps.

Size wise, I'm 6'4'' and the long ones are a tiny bit short but I like them to drag on the ground so hey. I've also got the skinny ones but i'm a rake..

Lovely bike but get yourself some nice metal bottle boss bolts, for some reason SC supply you with those daft white nylon ones..

Black ones look particularly handsome i think..

If you can be bothered importing from the US, shipping will probably be around £100ish not sure how the tax works out but a new 575 for £700 + costs, baaargain!!

Yup, my 456 SS is a bit longer than I'd like and the slacker head angle just makes it longer still, in the wheelbase.

That Chatel gap is huuuge, the run in is so sketchy, I don't even have to beat myself up about being too chicken to do it.. This is about as rad as I get before self preservation kicks in..

Problem with warm socks is they tend to be thicker, cutting off circulation in your feet, unless your shoes are on the big side. if you see what I mean.

not a bad year here, very dry and sunny. guest numbers a bit down but last minute bookings have turn things from awful to OK when things actually come around..

Also worked in Chamonix in the Summer which was awesome!!

I love the one from 'Children of Men' when Clive Owen et al are trying to escape from the crusties, rolling down the hill with them all running after him trying to get the car to start, very tense moment..
