indeed! I now leave a long pause of thinking time in those situations, works a treat.

I once said that 'pick two' thing to a girl that appeared to defy it, meaning it as a compliment. We were in a romantic situation and she was quite offended, not that offended though. Is the STW accepted knowledge so out of touch?

Anyway, good luck big dummy, you probably come across best face to face in a relaxed setting (I imagine) so go with and once you get through the awful first stages it'll get easier, or so I'd imagine. I know nothing about this and I've been single for ages. So my advice is worth almost nothing. All the best!

    6'4''

    19'' Heckler
    17'' Alpine
    18'' 456

    [edit]
I reckon if you're really using the Bfe for what it's meant for 16'' would be right, if you want to go more XC then a bigger size would be a possibility. imo etc.

Hi, I rode with the mountain bike adventure for a few days last year, who ride out of Lagos. It was pretty good, lots of coastal singletracks and undulating rides around the town it's self. Never got to do any bigger mountain stuff but I think it's just a drive away and I only did 1 1/2 days of day trips. Jim who runs it is a real inspiring rider too (super skilled) and a nice guy, well worth day tripping with them..

Yeah, I've gone through a few sets of 5.1's myself and it's a '10 commencal so hopefully won't crack..

The Hope Hoops would be a much better deal but he likes his garishly coloured tat..! (They are only available in Black?)

I ride most days and have about 4-5 pairs of the cheap 8E liners and they're my favourites, over the DHB ones and the Endura ones I've got.

I'll try my LBS but they tried to charge me 17 euros each for new bearings for my hubs so I don't hold out much hope of a deal..

Ahh, my favourite usage of shoogly has to be in relation to a person in danger of losing their job or position, "xx's coat is on a shoogly peg"

I went there in 2006, it was superb.. Photos[/url]

We stayed in Turbole in an appartment but I can't remember where, I don't remember it being so expensive. Meal out cost us about 45 or so euros for 3 with wine. Our appartment was just what you'd expect to pay for a place in the alps. Meckie's is well worth a visit and I was quite glad to be at the hilly north side of the lake.

Alpine elements go there which would be a cheap option. But I have no experience of them, and have heard some negative feedback about them on here.

Route finding around Lake Garda was easy, there's loads of stuff. You want the Alto Garda map on this page..

I haven't flown Ryanair in years because of what Kimbers said..

The way they sneaked the paying for check in thing was despicable.

don't you reckon £30 for maybe a 20 minutes – 1/2 hour's work is ok, you wouldn't get many tradesmen for that rate.

LBS' have to make a living etc.. But I bled a HFX 9 on one of our hire bikes the other night and it took me under ten minutes including getting all the gear out to do it. But fair enough, if you can't or won't do it yourself you're gonna pay..

I don't like the idea of a right of way personally, if people are nice and polite there's no need for one and if people aren't they'll just ignore it anyway. Downhill riders should certainly slow and make sure they pass anyone in a comfy and friendly manner though, huh?

Like the walker > horse > bike bit in the Scottish outdoor access thing, unhelpful in my opinion. (Is there any basis for this other than that cyclists are scum and walkers and horse riders are nice people?)

We use them here in Spain a bit because there's loads of spikey stuff to puncture your tubes. They are great for that kind of thing (and better than cheaper immitations I think) but if you ride quite hard and get pinch flats they aren't really worth it, they still pinch and are quite hard to fix as the Slime stops the glue sticking..
