Anyone struggling with the Monday morning blues?

I know that a huge part of my depression is being stuck in a job that I hate and get zero satisfaction from. It weighs heavy on my mind.

This forum is at its best when people need each other , over the years of being a member I have seen a lot of examples of us rallying around to help people.

It’s important to stick your ego to one side and either ask for help or offer help to others. With stuff like depression and mental health you literally might be saving a life.

Well, my email is always on; as is the kettle in my workshop at weekends and the office kettle Monday to Friday.

I’m also happy to set up a group chat/ whatsapp group for people to talk and vent.

If you’re struggling then you’re not alone. Loads of people here care and are listening.

This thread can be anything it needs to be, arrange rides, talk about stuff, offer some advice and support.

It’s a killer, it really is. And it’s nice to be able to get guys talking about it.

I figured I wouldn’t be the only one struggling. But as blokes we never speak up. So, if we can put people in touch with others and get guys out talking and riding, brilliant.

The offers are amazing . Look how we rally around. Anyone reading this thread who is struggling and lives near any of these kind folk, I implore you to take them up on their offer and get some fresh air and some company.

I think it’s useful to have an open thread like this. Maybe a ‘we are riding here this weekend if anyone wants to join us’ kind of info.

Would be nice to get people together to talk. We are an amazing community on here.

The ‘Build them yourself’ lot are right and maybe one day. But today isn’t that day.

Bought the 29″ Hope Tech Enduros, I had the 27.5″ Versions on my BFe and loved them. I was just being dumb and not twigging that 29 and 700c are the same.

Ok, So just to confirm.

I don’t want to learn to build them myself. I don’t have the time or the inclination.

Out of the 4 or 5 ‘local’ bike shops I would be happy to use none of them offer a custom wheelbuild service.

None of my local LBS do custom wheel builds sadly.

Would I have any issues at all running 40c Maxis Rambler Tyres on this wheelset.

The stock wheelset on my new Whyte are 23mm internal, where these are only 20mm internal.

Any issues anyone can foresee?

If your out riding with your kids and they aren’t wearing a helmet that fits them well then as a parent I think you are letting your martyrdom put your kid at risk of an injury.

In my house if we are going out on a bike/bmx/scooters we grab the right helmet for the job.

We don’t need to be able to stand up in it, my son is 7 and I just want to expose him to a bit of adventure. He is quite a soft nature, sensitive lad who loves nature so I thought camping out overnight would be fun.

When you fit 5800 105 onto an A1 you really limit the rear tyre clearance to no bigger than 28mm before the tyre rubs on the front mech.

I don’t think this is a issue with the DSW and the Carbon models.

I can’t abide the fact we have divided up the beautiful world we live in and allowed it to be sold to people for profit. We are obsessed with the ownership of things.

I borrowed a carbon V2 5010 for the day that had been set up for me by the guys from Jungle and rode all my local trails on it. It was hands down the most fun I have ever had on a bike. Just the right amount of travel, but it felt lighting fast. I was so close to doing a deal on it, but I just couldn’t raise the £500 I was short. It maybe the most fun bike I have ever ridden.

I just want Ohlins to release a proper 650b fork. My BFe deserves one.

I am building a new bike and am looking for some lovely 30 or 32mm ideally skinwall road tyres. no need to be completely slick. I am flexible.
