Did the rear need any adaptors as it was originally 160/140?

    Sorry for all the questions!

The R685s are currently £299 at Merlin.

    Did you stick with 160/140

I think I am going to go Hydro,

I then need to try and sell all my stuff I took of it.

Its been a really fun little project and its such a cool bike.

    Andy,

Any issues with fitting the hydros to be aware of? Did you use the original rotors?

I have also stuck an S-Works C-GR post on mine too.

    So, I bought a 2015 Sora A1 for a silly cheap price

I have new wheels and a full 11spd 105 groupset to go on.

I have not yet bought the shifters because I am toying with the idea of ST-RS685 shifter/brakes

Any reason why these won’t work/fit?

Has anyone upgrades an A1 to Hydro brakes?

Rain should stop soon. Trees soak a lot of that up and the singletrack drains well.

Worst comes to worst there is always the pump track.

    I love my Camber. I have made a few changes;

    1×10
    Short and wide Renthal cockpit
    Huge 203/180 SLX brakes

Soon to go 130mm Yari forks and new rear shock.

Appreciate all the reports gents. Thank you.

I reckon there is some good riding to be had tomorrow.

Is the beast still rideable? That’s part of the lime burner, no?

Cam Zink was tweeting this morning

“Wonder who Aaron Gwinn is riding for next year…”

Zink has a massive stake in YT and essentially bought them to American Market.

So, should I skip/avoid the long Burner route? That extra bit is well boring even in the dry!

    Thanks gents. Brilliant.

Me and a friend will be there New Years Eve if anyone want to join us.

This seems a well known issue. Especially with the 785s Dura Ace models.

The new 105s are bled from underneath to save removing the hood.

    Canyon? Along side Berecloth?

The bike can take 130, you can run a bit more sag and it slackens the angles a bit.

130 Yari up front with 120 Rear is perfect for the Camber. Nice big thick stantions. The Reba forks are really quite bendy.

    That’s perfect. Well done sir.

Ages ago, there was a Team Rumours post about Gwinn going to a German team. Everyone assumed YT.

I said the day I saw it, he is going to Nicolai!

    Imagine if it happened!

It’s about £10,000 to build new. Where would you start with a guess as to how much it goes for?

More? Because it’s a bit of history?

Less because it had a hard life?

For me the appeal of the Geometron is how involved Chris has been.

He may not be the best racer on the world, but no one can deny he knows his onions about setup.

Very much looking forward to riding a Geometron and maybe a GPI in January. Its been a while since I have beenso impressed by the though thats gone into a bike.

Did anyone by a MaxxD and wish they had spent the extra on a 6 pack.

    jmatlock

The R8 battery pack does look super heavy, but it looks very well built.

    jmatlock

I have narrowed my choice down to three models.

    Hope R8 – £240
    Exposure Maxx D – £310
    Exposure 6 pack – £350

    I have a solarstorm X2 currently.

Any one owned any or all of these and can steer me? Hope is a fair chunk cheaper at the moment.

    Where are you OP?

I would always go out for a ride on or off road .

I know your struggle with weight.

I am now 15.5 stone down from nearly 26st

All through change of diet and rising my bike.

Cheapest bike is 1.6k Di2 equipped cross bike.

I don’t see any of the sellers in the classifieds offering a warranty on their bikes either?

Shame Wilcat dont make a matching ‘fuel tank’ bag.

I love my Small Alpkit one. I have one on both my Camber and my Diverge.

Having spent 24 hours trying to do a deal on a seemingly cheap private 2nd hand one, and emailing chainline with infinate inane questions I will be going for a new one.

Just arranging a days riding with Chainline to get a feel for the bike. His passion and knowledge for this stuff is infectious. A true credit to the industry (that he does for the love of it)

Really enjoyed it, but thought it wasn’t as good as Builder or Revel in the Chaos.

Also the new Cam Zink biography ‘Reach for the Sky’ is fantastic.

Trailrat – You are dead right. Im lucky I am not starting from scratch. I have a really good base and a lot of hours on the bike.

I still do at least one long ride a week, im comfy for 6-7 hours in the saddle and have been riding a lot of years.

What I need to do is to try and still make some useful gains over the next few months whilst my routine is a bit all over the place and outdoor time is limited.

I live in Ely so I will look into that. Thanks.

It’s a real issue being time poor for the next few months. Looks like I need to make friends with the turbo. And look into trainer road.
