Doesn’t seem to be any rubber inserts in there. No sure where you can buy them from…or which ones fit.

Seems mainly rattle where the cable inserts in the downtube. Hole bigger than cable. Cable can move a fair bit.

Any particular Ragley / Vitus models to look at? Looking for something not too heavy and I guess not too aggressive.

Thanks for all the replies so far – For £1500 it looks like you can get a Plant X Vandal, or for £1,000 a Scandal or Sentier.

In terms of the Vandal/Scandal – are they a good all rounder or more hardcore that my existing cotic soul?

How does the Titus El Viajero compare?

Sorry for confusion I mean upstands on the edge of the shower tray which are meant to stop leaks rather than risers.

Thanks for your advice so far, so seems Bristan, Grohe and Ideal Standard are getting some recommendations.
Just wondered if there are any specific recommendations on baths / Vanity units? Any Bathroom fitters on the forum with any advice / recommendations. Just trying to sort out what we want in the next week.
Thanks ever so much for all the advice so far, just seems a minefield with all the different options and prices.

Any recommendations for a fairly lightweight waterproof for fell running? Need one for the mandatory kit, but prefer to buy one I can use all year round rather than an ultra lightweight one which will be no use if I actually need it. One which will ok with a racevest/pack.
Prefer to buy a decent one which is packable/breathable and robust as possible.

Bought some Eufy 2 Pro battery wifi cams at Xmas. They appeared to be the best in terms of reviews etc. Seemed to be great when first installed, but the firmware would not update and then the night vision would not work. Contacted Eufy support and they said they would sort in 7 to 14 days. It has now been that time and no update so the camera’s were no use at night. So I had to return them to get a refund. Worth looking at the Eufy community before buying as there seems no end of issues. Does not seem to be a perfect solution presently.

I wonder if you can help me. I have just started learning the guitar and have an Eastman acoustic guitar which I bought following recommendations and happy with it. Its coming up to a significant birthday and my parents are wanting to buy me something so I was thinking of getting an electric guitar and amp. Problem is I am very naive in electric guitars and what to buy. I would ideally wait a year or so and then buy an electric when I know but my parents are wanting to buy it now, so I am wanting some help. Not sure going into a shop and trying a lot will really help to be honest and the embarrassment of not being able to play anything but a few open chords. Musically I like playing anything, from the Beatles, oasis, the killers to pop songs etc. Having looked on youtube, potentially a telecaster seems a good option in terms of simplicity and versatile for a wide range of tones. Or would a strat or les paul be better. Any thoughts and recommendations would be very much appreciated. I would probably try and keep learning on the acoustic and the electric may sit there not being used for a few more months. Thanks for any help, I appreciate I am in a fortunate position.

Is there always a lag between pedalling and zwift? Just using a non smart training with ant± or Bluetooth and about a 2 second delay. Just wondered if it’s the same if i got a kickr core or tacx neo?

Just joined Zwift this week but just using a non smart turbo a cyclops fluid 2. Appears to be a couple seconds delay in pedalling and it impacting zwift, is this normal? Also how much better are direct drive trainers like Kickrs? Is it a much better experience. It seems quite difficult to judge on a non smart trainer in terms of drafting and catching people up. Seem to get dropped and then put too much effort in and go by. Is it much more responsive on Kickrs, or just a case of getting use to it whatever method.

Try having a look at http://www.appsheet.com, I built an app from a spreadsheet using them and if it is only for personal use it is free.

Yes, that is why I was looking for recommendations. There are lots of companies around – Just want to make sure we pick a decent one.

Thanks all very helpful. The offer is 5% lower than the asking price and we beleive the asking price was set at the reasonable level so we can sell it fairly quickly (i.e. Some Estate Agents were saying to put it at 10% above what we put it on at).

Any links to specific laptops – cant really see any bargains out there. Probably looking in the wrong place

Sounds as though we will probably need a new machine as I don’t really have the knowledge and time to go to Linux. I presume going with a i5 with a SSD drive and 8GB RAM would be ok? I presume with a SSD you keep the file storage to the minimum and then put pics o flckr etc or have a separate HD.
Any laptops people recommend or any to avoid?

So think I’ve narrowed it down to Selva or Canzei. Looks as though Selva maybe a bit bigger but Canazei looks slightly better for road biking. Is Selva a lot bigger? Any issues going at the start of June to either? Is there much difference between the two?

Thanks all for the help – very much appreciated as never been to that area. Is there much difference between Selva and Canazei? Both look a lot bigger than Corvara and lots of restaurants and bars. Any reason to choose one from another?

Thanks for all the help so far – keep the ideas coming. Have been looking at Corvara but it seems as though there isn’t much there unless I have missed it and it sounds as though the season only really starts on the 18th June and we would be there from 6th June. Is Canazei a little bigger and more to do? Guess we are wanting to cycle every other day but need tings to do in between times.

Would recommend the Yorkshire Dales and stay at the Dales Bikes Centre near Reeth. From there you have access to the following climbs: Buttertubs, Tan Hill, Oxnop Scar, Fleet Moss, Kidstones,Garsdale Head and Grinton Moor plus many others. I personally think the road cycling in the Dales is better than th lakes. Dales Bike Cnetre is also a great place to stay with pubs handy nearby.

Thanks for all your help. I’m mounting the ring on a giant tcx and present double chainset. Should I mount it to the outer or inner ring?

    jlc

Thanks for all your replies so far. So it sounds fairly straightforward I guess. Anyone had experience of whether the chain stays on for Winter cross? I like the idea because of less mud clogging etc, but just want to check it works ok. The other thing is do you mount the ring on the outer or inner of a double chainset?
