    Lets imagine it’s 150 years ago…

No internet, phones, TV or photographs, with minimal printed media, reduced levels of literacy and basic transport meant it would’ve been far harder for the average person to find other partners and more importantly, the lack of media would mean there was less reasons to be dissatisfied with your life as there was less points of reference with the outside world for comparison. There would’ve also been far less technology diverting peoples attention away from their sweetheart.

Obviously, infidelity and the like have been going on since way back, however, the tools now available to us make it much easier to pursue and find other partners outside of a primary relationship, with a magnified sense of personal entitlement and additional pressures of envy and discontent when shown the glossy sugar coated lives of celebrities.

So in summary, I basically blame the Beckhams.

I don’t think my opinions are controversial enough to have people disagree with me 😐

You’re using your hands to hold luggage?

Won’t that spread germs n stuff?

Better off with one with wheels if you ask me, and some thick sterile gloves.

As for the forks, the damping might get a bit erratic if they get homesick and start leaking fluid… to even out the suspension, you should get a culture shock.

My mums sighting was in 1993… turns out there is a novelist who has been researching the case (there was a number of UFO sightings around the area around the time the site was operational); if you or anyone you know has anything to add, I’m sure he’d like to hear from you:

Glad to hear I’m not just a complete fruitloop…

did a bit more googling and found this; no additional insight into what was going on there, but interesting nonetheless:

How dare you suggest such a thing… Westland have an exemplary record of clean and ethical business practices.

Ask Leon Brittan (while you’re there, ask him about the dossier prepared by Geoffrey Dickens)

It’s Friday night, it’s a UFO thread and jivehonetjive has just appeared. I predict a leffe is about to mysteriously disappear only to get replaced

Glad my reputation precedes me 😉

In all honesty, I’m not as open to a lot of the paranormal as I once was… in this age of camera phones, you’d think there’d be sufficient footage to irrefutably prove much of the phenomena which has puzzled us for centuries, but nothing which leaves me sufficiently convinced has surfaced.

That said, there is a wealth of mysteries, from Inca Masonry, to the Nazca Lines and Stonehenge, so despite all our technology, we have much to learn.

Still convinced of the manipulative nature of people in power though, and history has shown that to be a repetitive cycle, intensified in this age of media and subterfuge.

Watching the sun rise from the top of Arthurs seat one day, saw some strange goings on at the top of a hill in the distance (this was in daylight rather than darkness); looked like an immense flag flapping in the wind, but kept disappearing then reappearing.
Did some further research and turns out it was Traprain Law, which has quite a reputation for UFO activity.

My mum once had an intense UFO experience in Mid Wales… woke up early in the morning, noticed some strange lights on the walls and ceiling, so went to the window… there she saw pulsing rings of orange light originating from a source unknown above and behind the house, then a searchlight beam scanning the fields, before a strange beam of oscillating bubbling light, moving in waves from ground level toward the origin.

She was too scared too wake my Dad or Brother, but when she told them in the morning, they started taking the piss… the mocking intensified when they turned a light on and it started pulsing; then tailed off when they turned another light on and the same thing happened.

Sometime later when I was working in Cardiff, I mentioned it to one of my colleagues who was from around the area my parents lived… He mentioned there was a secret research centre in the Hafren forest… the power of the internet suggests this was indeed the case:

but you can’t argue with maths.

Not to subtract from your point at all, but all things being equal, opinion is divided… and going by this thread, division is multiplying.

Feel free to come back at me if you have anything to add.

    I have one of these:

    Saffier tilting rack

it’s a hefty piece of kit, but solid enough for 4 dh bikes (and resulting car wheelies 😀 )

It’s nice and adjustable, generally straightforward (some funky shaped frames can require a bit of headscratching)and nice and secure; the tilting mechanism is handy for getting into the boot.

Most tyres fit fine… only had to deflate one lot on a mates bike with huge 40mm rims

    I’d certainly recommend it.

If you want rich full range sound, that is as if you’re there whilst it’s being recorded, surely the solution is studio cans.

The money saved could go on bikes, babes, bouncy castles and baboon adoption.

    Sound, aye
