Looks like I’ve been kicked off the league.

No one to my knowledge has been kicked off the league.

Found me, I’m off the bottom. :D

That “lump” 10km from the finish may be a problem?

Fair play to Stuart Pearce for taking an unpopular decision with the rest of country. I don’t think Beckham should have been picked, in fact I don’t think he was that good an international player. Okay, passing and dead-ball situations he was the go-to man, but how many tournaments did he single-handedly manage to put us on the back foot?

At least 2 world cups IIRC.

Croyde is a good base – Croyde is fun until it gets too big, when that happens head round the corner to Saunton for a lower more manageable wave.

If it gets a blown out mess at Croyde head for Putsborough at high-tide for a cleaner wave.

Or an alternative – The Gower – stay at Llangennith Hill End Camp site, beach over the dunes, plenty of alternative beaches around to suit your ability, great riding too boot.

As mentioned on here before, head high – the chavs don’t do altitude, unless you head out into the country.

We do have the Nags here too, always nice to stop off for a pint of something-or-other after a blast on the hills. :D

TBH I haven’t had alot of aggro with walkers on the hills (famous last words) worth mentioning, and if it does happen just be courteous in replying to them – confuses the **** out of them.

All sounds quite minor, look on the bright side –

    1. Fall down a flight of stairs at work. Battered and bruised today.

You to blame? Health & Safety claim, new bike. :-)

    2. Give me and Mrs North food poisoning from the quinoa and courgette thing I;d cooked the night before.

She won’t trust you cooking her meals again!! :D :D

I think the press are apethetic towards Euro 2012 because of the following –

    a) England have a new manager in Roy Hodgson.
    b) He’s inherited Capello’s team.
    c) The press would’ve loved to have seen how they’d with Stuart “I’m English & Proud” Pearce would’ve got on.
    d) The Olympic’s are on.

Do you need a special tool for the missing links – talking 9 speed here – or can you just ease them loose like the SRAM powerlink?

Depends on whether I have to pop to Morrison’s on the way to work.

Due to come into Malvern around 8.44 on Friday, just in time with going to work.

For a moment there I thought there had been a wine cellar disaster

I thought there’d been a rave over Castlemorton again and they’d broke into the cellar.

All the best to the little ‘un.

Mostly on my own these days, when I started out very rarely – always had a nagging doubt in my mind, god I’ve missed out on some rides.

Always make sure Mrs knows where I’m going and carry a mobile.

Have a look on Back-On-Track for an idea of routes, there is also a couple/three routes in the Trail Guide section at the top of this page.

I thought it was compulsory to have your bike upside down when the obligatory “Woodpile” photo is taken?

Matt: they are posting the route on the site… as you say there are a number of really nice descents in that area – sufficient material for 100 mile event

    That’ll be interesting…

    I’m curious about this shin-dig.

Anyone have any ideas where the route will go and will it include any old family favourites? I know you can’t say too much, but I’m just curious. :?

If you can take the hit – order the cheaper frame and send the original back.

If not, put it down to one of life lesson’s and enjoy the ride.

*wonder if the Co-op will give me the difference between the loaf of bread i bought at £1.40 and the discounted loaf 2 hours later of 60p…

should be OK, the tories don’t have any other scandals to bury this week by causing a panic do they?

    That we know of.

Ah well, the old codger in Morrison’s had the right idea as he was filling up five 5 litre drums and his car with petrol. :?

    I’m off now!!

I guess unless they have money up front they get very jittery with current state of the nation’s finances.

It does seem very premature to consider cancelling events considering it’s 3 or 4 months away to expect such a financial commitment from participants.

Jimster I think you’ll find Def Leppard were the support band … remember who headlined????

No they were the Headline act on the “Through the night tour” supported by Witchfynde – 1980 not 79 as previously quoted.

Best – Rush Brum Odeon 1980 or U2 Cork 1993, saw them a couple of weeks earlier and they did a live link with Sarajevo, ok he wanted to get a point across but please – dropped it for Cork and were excellent.

Worse – U2 1997(ish) Popmart tour at Wembley, boring.
