Just an aside – 1st thing in the morning …. "morning glory"; surely meaning most levels are, well, elevated.

The general rule of thumb is to take the pulse upon waking before you rise, when the body is rested and no stress has been put on the body.

    We've had a pretty impressive spring/early summer don't forget?

Forget the past, I'm only interested in the present and future – I want dusty trails NOW!!

Not a song as such – but that "jingle" they use for Yellow Pages – 118 24 7 – wonder if they have gun suppliers listed – I'd shot the f****r who wrote that pile of crap!!

    shhhhh!!!!

The Conservators are watching you know

And because of your actions they'll be posting "No Bikes, Horses or Bivvying" on these hills.

They may as well post "No Enjoying Yourself" signs.

jimster – in the fog and night lights it always feels like the sewer scene in the Italian Job

I had more "Return Of The Jedi" in mind on those bikes through the forest – there seems no end to the speed you can build up. :D

Aah the "toboggan run", that is fun. :D That is a nice singletrack climb up that way though.

Location: probably illegal so not telling Just checked, yep, definitely illegal

Good job there weren't any illegal biking activities last night – would've been an interrupted nights sleep. :)

Did you have any clearance issues running a 29er wheel in a 26in. fork?

I've been toying with trying out the same myself.

Was thinking of getting MBR, a question – the Wales "must do rides" is it just a re-run of the same article they ran a couple of years ago, where they highlighted to best section on the OS map and didn't bother showing the rest of the route? :?

I rarely get any grief off walkers on the hills these days, but then I stay away from the popular routes during busy times. If anyone does say anything to me I just agree and leave them to it – certainly rains on their parade then. :D However when I'm walking the dog and I see a cyclist, establish if they're local, if not I then send them down what I think is a better route than the one their riding – confuses the buggers to hell. 8O

Better than President Bonio, I s'pose.

Imagine that pair in the same room – "ego's r us" springs to mind.

Glyncorrwg (sp) has the Drop-Off cafe and a campsite.

Do the W2 trail, stop off half way and do the Penhydd – finsh off the W2, then do the Skyline on the other day.

Balanced diet here – bag of chips in each hand!! :D

On a serious note however I tend to eat plenty of fresh veg and fruit – rarely eat chocolate or biscuits, don't bother with supplements – used to do the Echinacea thing but had trouble remembering which week I need to give them a miss. (thank god I'm not a woman – I'd have 6 or 7 kids by now!!)IME Echinacea would only alleviate the cold symptons. These days when I start feeling rundown/unwell I ease up on the exercise until I feel better.

To sow the seen – local mafiasi daughter gets knocked up and he has a "quiet" word with the lad –

Pulp Fiction – It's how things are the same over there but with little differences.

    Example?

In Paris you can't get a quarter pounder, it's a Royale because of the metric system

    So what's a Big Mac?

A Big Mac's a Big Mac or Le Big Mac

If you want a sensible dog, go for a Lab of some sort. A lot less mental than a Springer or a Cocker.

Beware of the Labs, yes they look calm placid etc etc – however they are hard work, they will walk forever get home, then play for the rest of the evening – by play I mean use the two sofa's in the house as a wall of death. If you get one with a bumble bee for a brain that's even worse!!

It’s all academic anyway. The greatest racer in the world is going to win.

No he isn’t, it’s the rider with the best doctor. :-)

Another vote for Time ATAC’s here, been using them for 15 years or so and never had a problem.

Having said that, will probably stack big style tonight and swear never to use them again.

    What’s wrong with Waitrose?

Nothing, I see lots of Waitrose bags in Lidls, with the Chelsea Tractors parked outside. :-)

Contact CAB, they’ll recommend you to an Industrial Solicitor if they think there is a case to answer, were you signed off at the time, was it due to workload etc etc your problem came on.

Don’t put it off though, get the boring CAB stuff done now – THEN ride your bike.

Something better will come along, did for me, left absolute sh*thole, went to work in a warehouse and ended in a job where I spend most my time answering to myself on here. :-)

Do the Penhydd Trail, it’s only got a “Red” rating but the singletrack sections are well well worth it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mr Armstrong is raising the profile of the team before he and Bruyneel buy Astana out, weren’t they in difficulties earlier on in the year?

And what better kudo’s for future sponsors in the US of A than former 8 time TdF champion and current?
