I went cold-turkey – not even "Caffeine Free" beverages which are high in chemicals, had the headache for two or three days then calmed down, and christ did I sleep afterwards!!

I enjoyed it – Mrs J kept asking what was going on after 5 minutes – which is a good sign.

Hora, you are starting to rant about how awful modern pop music is now.

Time to tune to 88-91FM and buy a pipe and some tartan slippers

He features quite alot on the Radio 2 playlist also. I personally don't mind his muzak, better than most played on most stations – still wouldn't buy any of his stuff mind you.

    Malvern –

    Best – the hills

Worst – tourists and being so far from a decent beach break.

I find the Beatles tunes rather depressing – a forerunner to Radiohead in fact!!

I'd be up for a Forum FoD ride – I know bits of it, but could do with more knowledge.

BTW waht was that "freak with big ears" playing – saw a bloke in Stratford playing one last weekend, weird sound to say the least.

A lot of shops run a "Try before you buy" – take them up on this, I think they refund you the price of the hire board or something.

    What about Ozone/Bigfoot though?

I know Ozone were based in Malvern, elevated chainstays and all that jazz, they briefly changed their name to Bigfoot but I think there was a club or other manufacturer with that name.

    WTF was all that about?

Definately 2 hours lost and never to be regained.

Sideways – thank god I only saw it on DVD – ejected halfway though.

DaVinci code/Angels and Demons – didn't see, but the books were poor IMO so the film couldn't have been up to much.

I think what wins the award for "Dullest Hobby Ever", was a couple of blokes I saw when working at the Worcester Beer Festival – they were buying a half of ale, sampling a drop of it then bottling and labelling it!! 8O

It's beer, what are you gonna do with it!!

My old landlord is Ian Fagan's brother who was a pro-racer back in the 80's, most famous for having a punch-up after being knocked off in the Milk Race in London with the Houses of Parliament in the back ground with the chap who knocked him off!!

Weineck Cobra (The most powerful car ever made)

Does it come fitted with a periscope to see over the air intake?

Do like that Ferrari, trouble is nowhere to put yer bike/surfboard and you'd have every Yoof in their "souped" up Corsa/Saxo racing you.

Can't see it happening personally, just the ramblings of an ex-champion with too much time on his hands, a bit like LeMond really.

Agree with ADH, the amount of time lost during a race whilst compatible wheels are located would certainly outweigh the gains.

Of course all this has nothing to do with the fact as he couldn't test the new car until Valencia because 3 teams objected. :?

Have a look at the Trail Guide section or the routes section at Back-On-Track Bikes.com/co.uk or whateveritis….

There is plenty of riding to be had avoiding the ridge, especially as this is where most folk walk at weekends.

Used to race over Clun years ago – but it was Gerry McGarr's winter series so read into that what you will.

Hopton wood is definately worth a look – issue 42(?) has the Long Mynd/Hopton routes.

As Surfr said, and if you can't be arsed to queue, get two or three old 25ltr jerry cans and fill them up with water when you get there and use this, and a bucket to clean your bike NOT the pond!!

hey mr sanctimonious – where do you think the run off will go when you was the bike on wet land – into the pond!!

Think you'll find the run off from using a bucket and brush or a garden sprayer would be absorbed into the soil, where it would be alot less harmful than immersing a bike into a pond.

LOL at aracer – that certainly does describe the Malvern Lowlands.

The upwardly-sloping main street is too much for the frizzy-haired truants, though, so they never quite get to see the true wonders of the Malvern hills that would thus save them from Chav Fire and Brimstone

There's your problem – you live down in the flatlands. Chavs cant breathe at high altitude so we havent got any up here

You forget they make it up as far as the Wine Bar and the Uniyawn. :-)

If he's hacked into the US security systems, surely he should be tried by the US. I know there's all this talk of mental health and whatever, but he must have realised he may get caught – no different to a drugs mule getting caught in Thailand getting onto the plane IMO.
