As said earlier – pop down to your local music shop, have a chat with the staff and try out as many guitars as you like the look of.

Bit like a bike really – have a test play / ride.

Funny how many on here can't read??

I don't think there can ever be a best album ever because there will always be a weak track.

My personal vote would be – Wish You Were Here or Achtung Baby.

Just put a cd on and pedal along to that.

Start off with something mellow to warm-up (Kashmir), a bit more pacy for the main section (Achilles Last Stand / I Am The Resurrection), then mellow to come down so to speak.

Jeremy Vine / Jeremy Kyle show, two inflammatory programmes the omly advantage to the former is you can't see the chavs. :-)

Report him – the DSS will do chuff all.

I think the main thing with any breed of dog is not to over exercise them in the first year – even though they will be eager to walk all the time with you, because you are their pack and they will go wherever the pack goes. Then after increase the distances gradually, be like you doing the Kielder 100 after doing two local cross-country races.

Our Lab is now 2-1/2 and I still haven't started riding on the hills with him yet, we're only just running up there. The one major hurdle for a lab is they are heavily built and whilst they can saunter all day long they're not as agile / nimble as a Collie or Spaniel.

Rush at Brum Odeon 1980 – last day at school too boot.

U2 in Cork in 1997, Zoo tour and back in '87 on the Joshua Tree tour.

A couple of Yes gigs, Union Tour in the round in 80's and at the NIA with a Symphony orchestra back in 2004(ish.

    Springsteen at Bramall Lane '88.

Hootie and the Blowfish – Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Saw a Black Lab t'other week down the FOD "bombing" into a lake!!

It would run up to the edge, leap, and tuck his tail and bum under to create a huge splash. Never seen anything like it.

One of our dogs is a Black Lab – goes without saying, can't get him out of water, was even going into 3 or 4 foot surf and looking at the waves with contempt.

Other one, an Airedale Terrier will just about get his stomach wet.

    Thought it was average myself.

Problem I have with it was, the sound balance was all to cock – the cast having to shout over the music, when they were running – was it meant to be comedy running? Also a couple of parts were padded out too much for my liking.

Why can't Dave rerun the classics – Jon Pertwee / Tom Baker era's?

he may be a tsser but he knows how to generate publicity / debate just in time for the new album.

Yeah, real rocket science – slate of the programme that has produced the xmas no.1 for the last hahum years saying what the rest of us know already – X Factor, Britains Got Talent, Big Brother – tv for the brain-dead.

Mrs J once stood next to The Jam in a chip shop in Malvern.

And was stuck at the front of the traffic jam when the Style Council filmed the video to "Shout to the top" on Jubilee Drive.

'96 Kona CinderCone chromo frame, was excellent until the drop-out snapped, think I would still be riding it if it hadn't. :(

I've been running a pair of Jimmy's on my Giant NRS and they seem fine – a little heavy but seem to cope with most things thrown at them.

Start looking for that elusive house 5 minute walk from a decent beachbreak and 15 minute ride from some decent singletrack.

Also take great delight in telling the MD that I have slightly more money than him.

Man made – The stuff on the Penhydd trail is particularly sweet.

    Natural – Minton Batch.

Cheeky – You know it if you're from Malvern.

Get to a shop that does "Try before you buy" and try as many as you can over a couple of days. I'd be inclined to go down the mass produced makes route – BIC, NSP, Cortez etc etc until you know how boards handle.

Don't forget booties, gloves, headwear, thermal rashvest when surfing in winter – you'll be amazed at how cold you get.

Saw her last night on Jools – very fit indeed, music didn't do much for me however.

Moving slightly OT – wtf has happened to the latest incarnation of Sting? Is he trying to save the rain forest in his beard?

Don't exchange the '95 Cinder Cone for a Pahoehoe under warranty – replace the snapped drop out and single speed it.

    I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
    I focus on the pain
    The only thing that's real
    The needle tears a hole
    The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
    But I remember everything

    What have I become
    My sweetest friend
    Everyone I know
    goes away
    In the end
And you could have it all
    My empire of dirt
    I will let you down
    I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
    Upon my liar's chair
    Full of broken thoughts
    I cannot repair
    Beneath the stains of time
    The feelings disappear
    You are someone else
    I am still right here

    What have I become
    My sweetest friend
    Everyone I know
    goes away
    In the end
And you could have it all
    My empire of dirt
    I will let you down
    I will make you hurt

    If I could start again
    A million miles away
    I would keep myself
    I would find a way

The public sector have too many "Managers" who couldn't organise a p*$$ up in a brewery – with SOME of the workforce who see sick leave as an additional holiday entitlement.

The trouble is there are proposed redundancies in some sectors of the CS which will target those who actually do the work not the managers who earn god-knows-how-much plus a performance bonus for doing chuff-all.

I like organic beer (less intense hangovers).
    How does that work?

No idea but I swear it does.

I'd have to agree with Backhander on that account.

I'm not sure as banning refuelling will make the racing anymore exciting – IIRC when it was banned back in the 80's for the first season or so it was extremely processional. Cutting down on the aerodynamic/electronic aids etc etc would be the more sensible way IMHO.

That's the fella, looks like Elrond from the Peter Jackson films.

Have to be honest, I wouldn't have been too bothered if it'd been anyone else walk past – but he is one of my favourite artists, dunno why.
