Quite fancy doing the one in Wyre, but I’m away that weekend.

    Malvern’s with my dog.

Was hoping to join up with the STW SS foray down the FoD but Mrs J has pooh-poohed that idea.

What F1 race was it now where everyone was going on (inc Hamilton) yet he recovered where others crashed out?

    Nurburgring ’07?

Dave’s pie looked exceptional, I think he let himself down with the presentation of the pudding.

My one comment would be when they were cooking for the Chef’s, who the f*** do they think they are – you’re cook’s you don’t save lives, you cook food nothing more nothing less, get real!!

Trouble is, it’s not proper cooking is it?

But my money’s on the coke head, he seemed to do really well last night.

The girl seemed to let a couple of things slip.

As for the other bloke, be a travesty if he got it, he’s always late and you can see the other contestants are getting a bit peeved with it.

Nice riding there (talking about bikes now), but I’d agree that the hills get super busy with walkers and wayward canines a lot of the time.

Watch out for the wayward canine’s with MTBer’s!! They’ll be next on the hit-list for the hatemail in the local rag.

There are plenty of people I know who refuse to ride on the Malverns (most of them singlespeeders)

SSing’s great on the Malvern’s, by the time I’ve ridden up from the Link I’m nicely warmed up and shedding layers. Most the climbs I can clear depending on how I’m feeling at the time.

Main reason alot of people refuse to ride on the hills are the misinformed tourists/visitors who are downright rude/ignorant regarding the rights-of-way.

Lets hope Avid / SRAM don’t go down this route.

Really nailing fast flowing singletrack, even better if it’s the first time you ride it.

And grinning like an idiot at the bottom.

There’ll be a ChavWetherspoons opening soon.

    So the finalists are –

    Mad Mary

    John “I’m always late”

and “Baking Soda, that’s Coke I’m Sniffing”

My money’s on the late chap, his food must be good if he keeps getting through with his timings.

    Expensive beer, mind…

I didn’t think £2.80 was that expensive, if you want expensive go Croyde, £1 a pint dearer than Braunton which is 3 miles away!! 8O

That Claire bird reminds me of Mad Mary off Coronation Street.

As for that dining room place – I bet the chef who runs that place posts on here from time to time.

That young girl did really well I thought considering all her dishes were fish up to this point.

I didn’t realise Mick Hucknall had a Michelin star or two!!

As mentioned prviously – pretty nice place to live, some good pubs and restaurants (Best Indian Zam-Zam’s), cracking riding.

Just don’t live to low down, plenty of chav’s / druggies down here.

I tend to yield to everyone, life’s too short to get ate up whether you do or don’t have priority on the trail.

Hardly half price is it, half price would be £139.50.

Alonso has certainly turned Ferrari around the last few races and I think it’ll be a fool who reckons anyone else’ll do it.

What ratio are you running, 1:1?

That fence needs staining too!! The stones laying around could be a H&S risk.

I can see either of the girls winning it, or the lad with 3 day’s growth, bags under the eyes and sweaty hair seasoning the dish as he cooks. 8O

Saw it last night, didn’t fail to disappoint either.

Can someone explain to me how Harry and his cronies managed to track the hackers down? Or did the scriptwriters just get bored and say “oh, we’ve run out of ideas, they just find the baddies”?

Eat at your brothers, be rude not to.

Failing that stop off at Beck’s chippy in Lelant.

AFAIK Penhydd is closed, should imagine the trails are little moist.

Love ’em, run them all my bikes except the SS which has Mary bars fitted. As said here, they offer so many options with hand positioning etc etc and IMO they’re no worse than riding with spd’s.

If I hadn’t destroyed my freewheel and hub at the weekend down the FoD I’d be up for this.

    "cheeky free car park"

In my defence it's not really that cheeky as it's shown on the map.

But £4-£5 for parking is hardly expensive.

No, but it does save you from 10 minutes or so of tedium riding from the other centre, okay you've still got another 15 minutes or so of tedium before it starts going up. :?

The best bit's closed IMO – Penhydd, not really any help to you though is it.

Park at the cheeky free car park, set off to do the first part of W2, stop off at the caff for lunch, then finish the W2 off.

    Job done, simples.

No Lawnmower trail as I believe it's going to be felled.

Bugger, was hoping to do it next month!!

A couple of points missed out in the OP – the daughter and mother see it as a legitimate income to supplement her pension to help pay for fuel to take her to the shops, theatre, meals. On the form the daughter stated that she has to "pop" down to her mothers twice a week to help her wash because of her legs. The legs are dodgy, but the daughter pops in once a week for a chat. The daughter is now on about increasing the "visits" in a couple of months to increase the income.

Except that was before Bringewood was developed, and the good trails were all in Mortimer forest.

So are the trails waymarked / easy to follow in Bringewood? Used to race there back in the day and it was good fun.

What makes you think half of them are unemployed?

Lets just say I live near the "rougher" part of Malvern where the scallies don't need to get up until 12 unless they're signing on or the local pushers got a bargain deal.

    fancy VW camper,

It's 23 years old ffs!! Most the cars on the chav estates are at least '09 plates!!!

The Conservative government is going to price these buggers out of existence anyway.

No, the Conservative government will cut the feds even more and the streets will just become no-go areas. The feds don't go anywhere near the park at the back of us as it is!!!

Mmm, tough one – as said earlier depends on my mood, but I'll have a go –

Off "How the west was won" – Over the hills
