You should be fine. The trail grading at Bedgebury is red but it would be on the lower scale of red at most trail centers. Unless you take the short black everything is rollerable but obviously the quicker you go the harder the trails become. The trails there are better ridden at a fast pace if you can as they become more engaging.

I’m a Self employed chippy and have been fortunate to have been working 2-4 days a week throughout so far. Obviously my normal 5 days a week has been disrupted. Should I apply for this for the loss of earnings or count myself lucky to have some income. I don’t want too take the piss or end up having to pay back when this is all done and dusted.

Have they changed the soles as well ? I have a 5 month old pair of freeride pro’s that are trashed. However the uppers apart from being dirty are as new. I used to get a year to 18 months out of the freeriders going back 3 or 4 years.

Thanks for that. Checked it out and need to order just the outer bearing as I have all the others. 👍

Thanks YAK, that kind of makes sense. So if I order the MAX-E bearings they should be fine ?

Its being sent to TF but i cant be around if i arranged for then to collect. So dropoff is the only option. I’ll use DPD some have mentioned that TF trust them and that’s good enough a reason to.

If there’s uncertainty regards RM and PF is there any other couriers who I could use. Drop would be better as I may not be around for collection.

Cheers guys, thanks for your opinions. The grease i was look to use was Mobil Mobilgrease XHP 222 High Performance Grease with just a thin smear of it.
My main thought was with the BB being Shimano’s XT nylon jobbie does it need a friction fit rather than grease to stop any creaking.

The 30g does not bother me. I’m surprised that an all mountain rim is lighter and I can see no reason to buy the X over the XM even though I mainly want it for x duties.
    Have I missed something ?

The annoying spacer option would not be to much of a problem as i very rarely remove the wheels.Do the spacer kits work with XD hubs?

    I’m running tech levers.

Regards the bikeyoke lever, according to the bikeyoke site you install front to back. Which is opposite to my requirements.

Thanks for the replies. I will take a look at both the wolftooth and Loam levers. As an option can these be paired with hope brake levers in a matchmaker type fitting?

    Shark,

I taken a look at them and they seem to fit the bill.

Front is a 203mm however fitted to RS Pike debonair which is a 180mm post mount on the fork. So i guess a 160-180mm could work with shims.

What is the overall length of the dropper you have ?

I have tried a longer drop post but it would not insert far enough.

    Thanks for the replies,

I did get out on it yesterday to dial the shock in using the Dialled App. I found I was bottoming out on drops and adjusted the HSC accordingly.

I did slide the bottom out bump up the shaft for one run which indicated I was using all the travel. The bumper seemed a ball ache to slide up the shaft from the very bottom, is there a knack to do this?

I’m back out today to play a bit more, so does 25% seem like a good starting point?

I  emailed BC in the end and they have forwarded a new unique code for me to keep and use.

I have saved it this time

This was my thoughts about it being reusable. However I have looked at a previous order where i used the code and it was not visible. Any tips on find it?

I had issues using a 203 rotor with a 180mm adapter with outer edge of the disc rubbing the caliper.  I spaced it out with washers. All good now.

Biketart have 1 Litre bottle for £22.75 at the mo. I could not be bothered to do the maths to see if that worked out cheaper

Plus there are 10% off codes kicking around at the mo

Are the nobby nics more robust than The standard 27.5 version ? They seemed to be made of tissue paper.

So maybe i’ll give the e13 a miss.
The DT511 look a good option on pro 4’s. Anyone running Hope 35rw wheels? Hope suggest they can be used for 2.3 to 2.5 width tyres.

I’m looking at the 29mm rim width if that helps and running 2.5 width 650b tyres.
So not looking at running plus size tyres.

With the previous orange helmet the pads last at least 5 months. So i was surprised to see them fall apart so quickly.
Wiggle has said they will refund the new helmet! not what i really want.

I replaced mine with the Lime version as i really like this helmet. 3 rides in and the pads have start to come apart, Grrrrr.
    Off to contact wiggle.

Mine may have not looked so bad had the visor fade to match . However it was as bright as the day I purchased it.

My orange montaro did exactly the same thing. To the point it was nearly white in places. I contacted wiggle and returned it and got a full refund . Mine was 6 months old at the time.

I have had the wheel out and the fork off the bike and the same noise exists.

I have taken two videos one with the Pikes which i think rattle and another from the pikes on my hard tail which are quiet apart from cables knocking. Both have had their front brake zip tied on so no brake rattle

Anyone with an opinion care to shed so light.

    jimr80

With the brakes removed and the fork off the bike with just the wheel in they make the same noise.
I think my LBS suggested it that way as I’m happy to do the lower service plus the new air shaft was fitted by myself without any issues.

Full price TRX is probably not worth it , but there are plenty of copies(other brands) that are cheaper.
I have not tried rings , is it a similar concept?

I think it is but thats my opinion. There are so many ways in which you can get a really good work out. Lots of videos on Youtube as well.
Download the app (its free) and check out some of the programs.
You can get bargains on ebay where people have tried and moved on. I paid £45 for mine from ebay.
