Another vote here for the Cat Empire and the Whistler segment from Seasons.

It always had a sort of bitter sweet sentiment for me – I guess even more so since we lost Stevie…

There is a lot of this about. There is another thread about an slx pair that sounds like they have gone the same way. The lever only pushes on the master cylinder, you can’t pull on it. When they get mucky they stick and stop returning

I still reckon it’s not the caliper mind… Why would it be hard to bleed if a caliper piston was stuck? Its got to be the master cylinder at the lever

It may not necessarily be a stuck piston, I’ve seen plenty of sticky master cylinders at the lever. In fact that would be where money is if you can’t bleed freely. I’d got all in and buy full the new brake and never look back!

    +1 for stuck master cylinder.
The cam system the Shimano levers use only push on the master cylinder, pulling on the lever will not make it return. If like mine it became gunked up, it would not open past the reservoir port.

I think the interaction goes the other way LSC will effect the HSC but not the other way around – The guys at Vorsprung did some great videos on this stuff

I wouldn’t say it’s an indication of a badly set up fork necessarily.
It is difficult to quantify how many +/- clicks of a particular setting can effect the handling characteristics of the whole bike.
It is possible by adding HSC will increase comfort and control. Not enough HSC could…
    – Allow the fork to use more travel than necessary over a given bumpy section and feel wallowy.
    – Lower the dynamic ride height of the front of the bike and move rider weight forward on to the front wheel. Rebound damping should also be adjusted to avoid “packing”
