Depend what you are looking for, plenty of xc Purbeck routes that can be ridden all year round, Wareham forest/Gore heath has miles of single track that is mostly sand so rides fine even at the moment, Puddletown is 1/2 hour away if you want loads of tech DH singletrack.

The only point in riding uphill is to ride back down the most fun way possible.

IMO if you want to go faster/harder over rough technical stuff, the best modification you could make to your T130 is put a 35/40mm stem on it and use the dropper.

Fancy a ride around QE off piste over the Xmas break, you can try out my Geometron.

I ran my T130 with Fox 34’s at 140mm then changed them to 150mm, it’s a 20 minute and £35 air spring job.

I travel to Skagaströnd fairly regularly, there are guest houses in every small town and hotels in all the bigger towns, in the summer a camper would be great.

Do you know anyone with a hotel window you could borrow?

The clamp doesn’t fit 35mm bars (like pretty much any cheap light) but looks pretty good, I fitted the light mount which is like a Garmin mount but deeper to a Hope mount that also doesn’t fit 35MM bars as standard but works fine with cable ties in place of the qr, the lights not moved once in the bars, the only thing I’d like is a battery level monitor of some type, the on/off button is normally blue but turns red when power is low.

I’ve got the Proper job 2000L from Planet X, looks to be the same light. I’m impressed with mine for the money.

This is the 2000L on the bars and a Solarstorm X2 helmet mounted.

I use a Specialised one with one of these, the little dog leg section had a collar one side that fits between the inflator head and cartridge, keeping both tight but not puncturing the cartridge, and the other side threaded to hold a spare.

It wasn’t the weekend but I had today off so technically it’s still counts.

MacRide around the Moors Valley Play Trail

Then a solo night ride at Puddletown, the pumpkin was there when I arrived.

I’ve had mine since the middle of June so not a long term review but it’s done 4 days in the alps, Bike park Wales and twice weekly rides since then. It’s been completely faultless and I used the bled valve once after it had 0.5mm of sag caused by lifting the seat (MacRide and child onboard, trying to get through a gate).

The speed and accuracy of the drop is a game changer coming from my previous Reverb with 1X remote.

The only trouble is I’m now trying really hard not to buy the matching shifter and mech, if it wasn’t for new wheels and a trip to Finale to book for the Autumn I would already of bought it.

Stickers are cool, stickers on property or vechiles just advertise to thieves that you probably have something they would like.

“Today my mug was in a clean bowl,  balanced on top of a spoon. Basically there’s a contact patch between bowl and mug of about half a centimetre.”

How do you balance a bowl and mug on top of a spoon?

Book via BA holidays instead of direct with BA it is nearly always cheaper, my last return flight to PHL was £700 cheaper than flights only, I didn’t need the car so simple didn’t collect it, but the car will be booked through Avis, if you join the preferred scheme the keys are either in the car waiting for you or use the priority desk/lane.

Sod it, I’d take the points, they’d hurt less ha ha.

PS it’s 3 points and a fine equal to half your weekly wage, be thankful it’s not 66mph or it would be 4-6 points, a weeks wages and maybe even a ban of 7-28 days.

    Who gets paid more?

Only if you go to court, Fixed penalty is still 3 points and £100 fine.
