You need the BB length appropriate to the crank, you can find this on the FSA tech docs, also, have you replaced the FD with a triple specific?

if you want a BMC Lamborghini, just pop down to your local Lamborghini dealer (with €25,000) and you can pick one up from them, you don’t need to buy a car with one.

Which STI’s? as different generations have different brake pulls, and need different brakes.

2100 on 6 Oct, given the mess of S2 compared to S1, S3 hopefully will be a lot better.

Do you really have a 650A? as doing a quick Google search brings back the bike having a 650c.

If you have a 650c, Schwalbe Speedway Pros come in this fitting

Take it it’s not worth going then?

Going to cost you £3.99 from a LBS, by the time someone has posted one to you @small packet rate (2nd £2.60) + jiffy bag, you may as well have gone the LBS route, and get them to stick one on their next Madison order if they don’t have one in stock.

Madison aren’t the distributors anymore, you need a shop with a Zyro account, who now distribute them

What’s wrong with the rear? freehub or spokes? if freehub, this can normally be replaced much cheaper than a new wheel, if spokes, this indicates you have a factory wheel as Shimano don’t produce hubs with straight pull spokes except for full wheels anymore.

The Halo linked above is still cup and cone, you will need to spend a lot more to get a good cartridge bearing hub.

If you currently have straight pull spokes, do you intend on re-using them (hopefully not) as this with limit what hubs can be used.

It’s all a bit vague as to what the issue is, I called Madison last Monday about this, and they just said it was voluntary, but have taken mine to my LBS to get them replaced with CX77’s when they arrive in country.

The BMC looks like a nice bike, if you were to get it, the brakes should be swapped out, as the stock R515’s are on recall, and are getting replaced with R517’s

Why are you surprised about this!

If buying from outside the EU you get charged duty / VAT in the value is over £15 HMRC guide.

No, more inspired, one of the founders of RedBull (Chaleo Yoovidhya) created the original – Krating Daeng

Spa Cycles for Sapim (Race) / ACI (Alpina), Rose for DT (Competition), with Rose you need to add the cost of nipples, as these aren’t included.

Not found D-lights for less then £80p / €1.20 would be interested in where you could find these cheaper

Not surprised your not getting any one saying yes, it’s only been out a few weeks, and only in compact, the interesting stuff / reasons to get it, 52/36 and 53/39 chainsets aren’t out yet.

Got to go with premium fuels as as being noticeably better, car was feeling really bad a few weeks ago, re-filled with Shell V-Power Nitro+, and it’s back to it’s old self.

2 am you have Alex Lester during the week, all goes wrong on week days from 0500, and at weekends from 0600. Only good things Anneka, or Vanessa during the weeks are good for is getting you to switch off the radio, as both their shows are terrible.

Steve, have used these on club runs

Anglers Country Park, Wintersett (near Wakey)
Cannon Hall (near Cawthorne)
Windmill Nursary (above Penistone, on the road with the wind turbines)
various options in Penistone inc cafes, fish & chips etc
Bank View Cafe – Langsett

Looked great till I got to the headset, sticking with the old EC34 standard, when it’s getting easier and easier to get tapered, even with a ZS 1 1/8th you could use a conversion to run a tapered steerer.

That seattube sizing is confusing as well, 2 specs on one page….

Hit it (rubber mallet or soft hammer), the drive side is still too far out, theirs another couple of mm to go.

Not following the cost of a box of spokes as being an issue, the spoke needed is ordered individually from Madison, the consumer site shows this, the LBS would need to check the B2B to confirm stock availability. Would not expect a LBS to carry this as a stock item though. (link is for a front spoke but the process the same for a rear)

Would personally be unhappy with a LBS for not fitting the correct part, if the part was available, as they should have been able to tell you when you dropped it of, if it was or not, and given you options at that time for alternatives.

Which hub? there are several of 20mm models in the XT range, you need the M### number. When you have that…

Go to the techdocs and find the EV for your hub, find the part number from the EV, an either Google the part #, or take to a LBS, and get them to order.

Looking again, at the fuzzy images on the Evans site, they may be the banjo ones, hard to tell for sure, the Madison site doesn’t even have photos of the Zee hose set, and for others they are too fuzzy/blury to tell exactly what is in there, so the Zee ones may work, great thing with mail order, is 7 day return if they are wrong.

jimc101

No, as you need the banjo connector, the Zee version has the straight connector. For M785’s you need
this
any good LBS with a Madison account (all of them) should be able to order this, you can even also get the front hose in white here

Being as you get 60 days to leave feedback in, and today is the 60 day since the auction finished, you better do it quick; but would take it as particularly vindictive of a buyer to leave a neg with no contact, and at the very last minute.

For the tires, really you should have checked that when you picked it up, also, it’s been 2 months, you haven’t given any indication of how much driving you do, 5 or 500 miles a day?

Why not just get another Blackburn? It has a lifetime warranty, contact the shop where you got it from / Madison for details of how to get it replaced. Saves buying a new one.

PSA: Where’s got ’em on offer?

Sainsburys @ 94p

Normally 99p at Home Bargains, or on the BOGOF that FGS have often running (tho not at the moment), but you need to buy 24 at a time.

Just had one after a 10 mile TT, I like them, but they are expensive, so only get them when on promo, either direct from FGS, or from Home Bargains, where they have them for 99p, which works out the same as direct when on BOGOF. Way too expensive at full price from Morrisons / Sainsburys @ £1.89ish. edit, just seen they are 94p at Sainsburys at the moment, so good price.

As to if they work, having one after a hard ride, then next day I feel good, not very scientific though.

Always found that their order processing with cards has to be done in a set way to make sure you have actually paid them, and I normally mess this up, so now only use Paypal, so I know that it has gone through.

For English to German, don’t worry about this, just e-mail them with any issues, and they will respond in perfect English.

Had Swissstop on a commuter bike for several years now, seem to last much longer than any other brand I’ve tried for v-brake pad

If you like latex gloves, wait till you try nitrile ones, far more exciting than latex, as they don’t rip as easily, don’t melt when using brake fluid, and come in blue!

You really want BH90 Hose for SLX (M666/675) as it has a smaller bore diameter to the BH59 hose.

For fit, can’t see why it won’t work; as it has the banjo connector; and you can mix and match the new and old Shimano brake systems, I currently am running a M775 caliper with M666 lever mix, maybe not as good performance as all M666, but they still stop fine.

Find the part number from the Techdocs then you can take the numbers to any good LBS who has a Madison account (should be all of them) and if Madison bring it in, you should be able to get it. You can also check the cost on the Madison site

Would look at the cost of any spares vs a new lever

Since Standard Parcel has disappeared (used to be about £6), the Post Office only offer ParcelForce services, the cheapest coming in around £12-13, would now look at one of the may other courier services available.

Been looking at that too, but a friend just got a ASX+, and it came with nothing other than the dropout, it has screw in cable guides like the 9000, and you will need to source these, and they have been elusive to find. The closest I’ve found are from Ragley.

Not sure it would ever have been a £600 frame either, when the complete bike goes for £1300, think £200 is nearer what it should be.
