It’s got what some people think is high miliage (it’s not for 12 years old car)

Its not a real Volvo, nor a Ford or even a Chinese one, it’s a Mitsubishi (lack of) Carisma under the skin.

The current owner needs to shift it, but looking on ebay, most of the recent sales for 99 S40’s have been £410 or less, so it’s pretty expensive going by that esp as you need tax and ticket soon.

Currently have a selection of Oakley’s built up over the last 15 years, including M-Frames, Radar and Jawbones, yes they can be expensive, but when they do break, Oakley UK have been great for very low cost replacement, even when over 10 years old, how many other companies do that?

Have tried cheaper ones from Bolle, Briko & Shimano, and never got on with them.

If you want really expensive glasses, check out Oakley Pit Boss TRON edition.

There EU, have sent a few parcels there recently, never had any problems, often arrives quicker that sending somthing by 2nd class in the UK. Also, have heard all the problems with Italy, probably sent 50 packages over the last 4 months, but have not had anything go missing there (yet), just can take a while sometimes to get there.

As all the above, you get to meet lots of different people on all sorts of bikes. Mudguards are useful (you can use race-blade type if you can’t fit full length), and mandatory on some, also if your are doing over 100km, you will need lights.

Other thing to carry, are a pen / pencil for controls, and a head light is useful for navigating at night.

Have done a few this year, and there isn’t much consistency on the maps / route sheets, all are a learning experience.

best thing, is you can enter 5 for the cost of one sportive

When I was looking to buy a few months ago, no reg meant no interest, as getting an insurance quote (reg needed) which was viable, was a big factor to if I was interested or not

Take it they are Tektro brakes, these take Shimano compatible pads, so should be Koolstop Dura.

I had a set similar to these, and they soon found themselves on ebay very quickly, to be replaced with some Shimano Ultegra which actually stopped the bike.

Yours looks fine, only other thing to think about, is how long you want it to be listed for.

I used to do everything on 7 & 10 days, but now list most things on 3 or 5 days, I’ve not seen any less interest in shorter listing, and if you are having a big clearance, it gets stuff gone quicker.

Also, if you are selling lots, best to check when your local Post Office is quiet, unless you like waiting / creating queues.

    2 add to the above

Budget 10-15% for ebay’s fees, and get your Paypal account set up before doing anything, if you don’t already have one.

Have a look at completed listing to get an idea of what you things will go for.

Make sure that you pack stuff well when sending, and don’t be excessive with what you add to the P&P costs for this, I look at between 50-75p for packaging materials

For finishing times, evenings are the best, I avoid Friday & Saturday nights, between Sun – Thur, I find it varies every week to what goes well on those.

Wouldn’t use reserves either, as the fees on them are very high.

Has been extended till tomorrow (Tues), they have it listed as 9am CET finish, so i guess that means 8am finish for the UK?

Once you have checked the Gfx card / cable, go for the warranty rather than getting someone to open it and void the warranty
Your monitor has a 36 month swap out (Pick up & swap) warranty, just phone Samsung, give them the serial #, and they should be able to verify from that, the status of the warranty from the manufacturing date.
    from Samsung UK site
All other Samsung products: 0330 SAMSUNG (7267864)
    Monday – Saturday: 9am – 6pm
    Sunday: CLOSED

Vaude do a similar range to Ortlieb, I've been using the 2009 Aqua Back Plus daily for commuting/ shopping for 6 months now with no issues, & the 2010's have a better outer pocket. you can also get fronts in the same range

They have a very similar fixing to Ortlieb, worth every Euro in my case, as I ordered them from Germany where they were a lot cheaper than the UK.
