If you have a Cromwell Tools branch near you, they do exactly the same for a little less here have been using these since I got discs, works well.

Hope use FedEx, unless you paid for it, would not expect a Saturday delivery.

For turn-around, last time I sent my lights back to them, posted 1st class on a Wednesday, FedEx delivered them back on the Friday that week.

Blackburn have a lifetime warranty, just take it to your local LBS who stock Blackburn products, they can process the warranty through Madison, and you should get a repair or more likely the latest version of the light back.

Take a look at the tech docs the nipples are not the normal type.

As the nipples on the M975 (factory wheel) hubs are at the hub; and the Pro 2 needs them to be at the rim, simple answer = no as you would have a wheel with 2 places for nipples, and no place for the spoke head..

Something like a Schmidt Son Delux hub and an Edelux light, does make some battery powered LED’s look cheap tho. not a big fan of the B&M lights which have plastic bodies, after my IQ Cyo decided to crack at the mount point although they did replace with a new one under warranty.

Simple answer is you won’t get them to work as Dynasys isn’t compatible with Shimano 10 speed road, the LBS should have known this (time to find a new one) as with others, use a 9 speed RD.

What ever you buy, you will end up wanting a bigger one, Samsung or Panasonic would be first choices.

If I was going to buy a set of HS33’s today, would try and get an older set with the TPS dial on the front.

Having used the current, and previous 2 generations, the on-the-fly adjustment of the older verions is better than the current ones.

The best thing with the 2011 models, is the brake booster (evo2) as the rear is now shaped better, and if you are running a frame with a low brake mount, it won’t catch your calfs unlike the older / front version.

For performance, once setup, they are better than v’s, never used mechanical discs off road, so can’t compare, but if you can use discs, would go for them over rim brakes any day. saying that, once you are using them, and know their limits, you adapt your riding to them, so the stopping performance becomes less of an issue.

Cos it’s new! for the road, it’s a great idea, espcially in long rides (24hr+) when your hands do get tired. also you have 100% correct shifting all the time as the electronics trim the shift.

For MTB, not so needed, as cables work great, but would jump at hydraulic shifting if it was at the correct price point.

Would think it’s a very bad move even if it’s private, as they could start trying to charge for access to other areas, maybe where MTBers ride.

You only need a licence if you are watching as it’s being broadcast if your using the iplayer to watch after they have been broadcast you don’t need one.

The bottom (non-sproket) one, you should get one of these with a Shimano road cassette.

You picture is just a red X.

Have you looked at the Tech Docs?

Look up the model number of the hub, and it will show the tool needed

I think this is what you mean, can’t remember their correct name, and the only picture I could find was on ebay, I’m not the seller either.

I use them on my Vaya & commuter, they are very heavy, but are reliable, and have never noticed the weight when riding.

Had one for about 4 years now, no issues from any screen distortion.

The screen cover should stop any damage happening to the actual LCD screen.

Have used alot on the bike, in all weathers, and never found myself pressing on the screen rather than the buttons, the butttons do need to be depressed hard sometimes, and it isn’t always the quickest of devices to react when you want it to.

Being as Campag is mainly 11 speed, and Shimano 10 speed, the simple answer is no.

If you are looking at the lower end 10 speed Campag to mix with Shimano, there is a device available from a company in the US called Jteck, similar to the Avid rollamajig, which will let you run Campag RD’s with Shimano cassettes and vice versa. don’t know if you can get them here or not.

Have you gone to a bike shop, and had a feel of the STI’s vs Ergo shifters, as there is a lot of difference in the look / feel of these.

Also, you have missed brakes off, if you go Shimano STI’s, you are locked into the current Shimano brakes, if you go Campag Ergo, get the Skeletons, they are nicer than the normal DP ones

Not sure why you would want to do this tho, mixing the two systems is just wrong.

If you already have 5600, there isn’t too much point in upgrading, but if you are buying from new, the 5700 would be preferable, as it has better shifting, brakes, and the nicer under hood cable STI’s

Would look carefully at the Merlin deal, as the brakes on the £280 groupsets are Tektro, from experience, are usless; and only have 170mm cranks.

Have you looked at the German shops like Rose, as they can be cheaper than the UK stores?

I got a v17 at the start of the year, living in a 2nd floor flat with no outside water connection, it’s great, as bringing in a muddy bike wasn’t much fun, far easier than washing with a bucket.

What’s wrong with your current Deore kit?

If it isn’t broken, there isn’t too much difference in functionality / feel to make a difference in the real world; for the cost it will take to change.

If you really wanted to change and get XT, get 10 speed, to justify it.

For the Euro sites, there’s Rose, Actionsport and Bike24 amongst others

For chain cleaning, wouldn’t bother with the chain cleaning device, just get some Fenwicks FS Foaming degreaser, works far better than any chain device I’ve ever used

The Nanolight hasn’t been around that long, would love one, but have an SL Pro which does the job at the moment.

For any road bike, unless you need it now, would be holding off till October(ish) when Ultegra di2 6770 finally arrives, to see what that goes for on a complete bike.

Having used both, have just sold the 7800 Dura Ace, the 6700 shifts better, and the under bar shifters look nicer.

Had a PC951 recently which would snap every other ride in a different place, gave up, and replaced it, just bad luck? don’t know, but will be looking at KMC for new chains in future
