You really should put a new chain on with a new cassette as the old one will have worn for the old cassette.

Putting a new chain on will probably solve your problem.

The Di2 trick with the B screw is to allow Di2 RD’s to work with 11-28 cassettes, where you take the B screw and insert it the opposite way, effectivly giving a bigger range for the RD, I used this for a 9 speed Campagnolo RD which didn’t like a 12-27 cassette even though it was spec’d for it, works fine now.

Have you adjusted the rear mech?

Did you put a new chain on?

Is the chain the correct length, the old one would be too short going from 11-15 to 12-26 (think you mean 11-25?)

Can the RD cope with a 12-26t cassette?, a SS may be on the limit, a GS should be fine

Have you tried the Di2 trick of running the B screw the opposite way around?

YMMV – Your Mileage May Vary (I had to google that)

    fairly binary – basic?

For hubs, never had a Hope hub, but from other Hope products, there warranty is great.

Shimano, still trying to kill an M737 rear from 1996, never serviced, used in all conditions, still working as good as the day I got it, never had any issues with other Shimano hubs, either.

If you want a cheaper alternative to Swisstops, look at Shimano R55C3 pads, about half the price as the Swissstops, and I find them just as good (using 6700 caliper / STI)

Those clips are good, if correctly used, have done several thousand km this year with one of the larger versions of the bags, and its never moved, not too keen on the flap on the larger ones, quite liked the look of them on the micro.

They changed the sole design last year, so not surprised the fitting has changed. Was like Lecky, fitted perfectly into a 43, have looked at Mavic, and they seem to fit them fairly well, will probably be changing to them as my current Specialized shoes wear out.

yep, just search you e-mail, or ebay feedback, it should have details of the item sold, and user id of the buyer, then just mail the buyer

Just about every ride I manage to come off, haven’t managed to damage myself too much this year; wrecked 2 wheels in seperate crashes and cracked a helmet when I managed to come off when riding along a nice flat bridleway. Biggest crashes 2 hurt chest / ribs, same place with in 3 weeks of each other, lots of bruises, but nothing which has sent me to hopsital (10 more days left to try to this year)

What conditions are the B roads in, if lots of pot holes, a tourer type with say 32-37 tires, if good condition then a road bike with 23-25’s

Would look at somthing with discs if possible.

No duty charges, they are in the EU, you pay VAT at source, currently 19% same for any other shop in the EU

I’ll beat you all, order placed 28 Nov, dispatched this afternoon (19 Dec), all items in stock when ordered, but when it came to pick, one wasn’t on the shelf, took too long to get resolved.

You get Nectar point at Amazon, may as well get everything you can from them, if you are going to buy from there.

They are a size 8, just not a size 8 which fits you (as they are Womens fit).

What you do have on the seller, is that they are Womens shoes, not mens, which has made a big difference on the sizing.

As this was the case of, open up a resole a problem with eBay, the they are normally in the buyers side, so you should be able to get your money back as the seller was wrong.

If it’s a standard BB, then a standard HT2 crank will fit, as they are all the same size, have a look at their siteto see what was orginal fit on your bike / frame

Not seeing the problem that these items may have been stolen in this case.

They were won from an official police auction (bumblebee auctions), so due diligence should have been done by the police to return them to their orginal owners in the first case, if this failed, they would have kept the until claimed / whatever the prescribed time is for them to be disposed of.

If buying from that other well know auction site, and they are listed like this, would be concerned.

As other, a lot more split.

The problem with it, is no disc tabs, add to that it isn’t retro so falls into an area with limited demand.

for the parts as the-muffin-man, except, Wheels, doubt they will get much more than £50, the Thomson seatpost, £40 on a good day, stem £20-30, RD £50-60, crank £60-80 Other parts can get a decent return, just make sure they are listed well

Would also neg the seller (after contacting ebay for their advice), they (the seller) should have either put a reserve on it, or started it at the minimum price they wanted.

Panasonic or Samsung can’t go too wrong with either, do you want 3D, DLNA, Freesat, Plasma, LED etc, you really need to be specific about your requirements.

Have mainly used DT Competition or Sapim Race which are similar, but last year I got a set of Revolution spokes from CRC when they were on a special offer, built them up, no different from any other spokes, and have ridden that wheel hard for the last year, haven’t touched it since, it hasn’t let me down yet.

Would help the LBS if you gave them the part number, you can find this here if the shop is online (instore internet connection), they should be able to tell you if the spoke is instock at Madison. if you are looking on-line, look at Petra Cycles.

If your using the correct tool, the only thing to watch for, is where the cups fly to when they leave the frame; dependant on how well they were installed in the first place.

Using that design of tool should need a hammer, the superstar one looks to be springy steel and will probably bounce if dropped on the races, the Cyclus one is more heavy duty, but still needs a dead blow hammer.

Bent the hanger twice on steel frames, once racing at Eastway in the late 90’s, 2nd time a few months ago when a stick got caught, both times the RD survived. the only loss was on the road with a 7800 Dura Ace, with KCNC jockey wheels, one of these decided to break, snapping the RD in half, and bending the Ti frame hanger.

There are some OK deals, not too much that’s great. Got a pair books which I had been looking at, saved a massive £2 over buying at normal price, but it was still the cheapest online. Looking at the expired deals, there is a lot that hasn’t sold out.

15 years ago when you looked in MBA, there were lots of shops (mainly in CA) selling everything cheap; there was also a lot more made in USA product then. Now everything has been farmed out China and Taiwan, the US stores don’t seem to have been able to keep up with the low prices. But there is still a lot you can get in the US cheaper than in the UK, Crank Bros for example.

CRC has just taken over from them in getting ‘blowout’ stock, i.e. the last years product to clear at low prices, if you want real cheap, CRC isn’t it, you need to be looking at the German stores, they make Wiggle and CRC look very poor on range and value or money

Buying from a direct supplier like Ribble or Planet X will normally get you ‘the best bang for your buck’, Boardman at Halforss, would depend on what stock your nearest branch has. Others to look at are the German brands & shops, Cube (on CRC) and Rose can be very competitive as well.

For everything people here like to say that direct bikes aren’t any good, look at how many people ride them, they can’t all be wrong.

You don’t need to use disc specific rims, I built a set of XT’s with Sapim spokes on DT Swiss TK 7.1’s for my Vaya, not the cheapest option, but the rims were on clearance at the time, quite like the look of the braking surface as it’s shiny and unused.

Got an Automatic 120 of CRC a few weeks ago, would have been more disappointed if my frame size was being discounted, but it OOS.

As the Snyper is very similar to the Automatic, thoughts on it should be the same,

Good – very well packaged, headset included & installed, BB faced, built up and rides nice so far.

Bad – paintwork is good but not great, too many bottle cage mounts, but that’s an American thing, takes a tapered fork, which, without a reducer can limit choice.

Supermatic or Snyper, do you want 120mm or 140mm travel, pick the one you want.

As others 160km (100 miles) is too far to start with as you’ve only been doing short distance before, it’s cold at the moment, and that’s going to take a long time, over 6.5 hours @ 25kph which you will be very pushed to do, not taking into account comfort breaks, food stops etc. Start with say 50km then add 10-15 a week it will be a lot easier than jumping in at the deep end like you are.

To last, it won’t be too cheap, have been using an SKS Rennkompressor with an EVA head for the last 4 years, it’s been perfect, have heard good things about Lezyne track pumps, but have not used them.

Then there is the old standard Silca, which if you can get the spares should last forever.

Blackburn are worth a look as well, with their lifetime warranty for the cheaper end of the market

For cheap pumps, how long do you want it to last, and how much use is it going to get, if using once a month, then get cheap, if using everyday, buy decent.

No, but would check to see that the TV remote can communicate with the player, from experience, Samsung Anynet & Panasonic Vieralink will talk to each other and to Toshiba as well. No experence of LG thou.

90% of the fun was building mine, I’ve barely used it since.

Totally, I did this a few years ago, ended up selling for a little less that it cost, was worth it thou, as I never had one when they were big in the mid 80’s

+1 for looking at Planet X, I’ve had an SL Pro for the last few years and it’s a really nice bike.

The also have a replacement for the Nano coming out in the next few weeks, had a look & feel last week, very nice, very light, would be worth seeing what they come in at.

with others, sounds like a player issue, have used Panasonic players and PS3 for the last 3 years with no skipping issues.

Have you looked here[/url] for manufacture support?
