mate has an altitude 30. He likes it a lot, it’s super light but enough travel for fun stuff. I also ride the SD and it would be perfect for it.

To be honest any of the above would be good, but the Genesis do look like cracking value.

For me, it would be a toss up between an altitude and a P7 for a do everything machine.

Airbike SL1 seconded – best value bit of bike kit I’ve ever bought, super bright, small battery, well made, the screw in bracket is a bit of a pain in the arse, but hardly worth moaning about and now they come with a QR as standard.

No brainer, get the SL1 and then spend the money you would have saved on more stuff you don’t need!

can’t see the point in self builds with lights this cheap.

Regular bunch go riding on a tuesday night (I havn’t been for ages, but that’s due to bike/injury/laziness)

They meet at 7:30 outside marroccos ice cream shop on the seafront. Friendly bunch, pace is fairly brisk… normally cover 20-30 miles depending on whose out and motivation levels….

I might even get out this week if I manage to file down my diasterous headset insertion attempt!

    live and learn, eh?

    Welcome to brighton

Mrs JB is in the exact same position as you – never coded anything in her life before and she built a small website using
xhtml and css. She didn’t use any templates, and took her about a month in between jobs.

    Useful links are http://www.htmldog.com & http://www.css-tricks.com

The reality is that you’re going to have to learn this sort of stuff one day, and there are plenty of online tutorials to help….

if you want to look at her handy work head to

Available for deisgn jobs large and small STW people!

Mod – is this allowed? Apologies if not, promise not to do it again – I ‘m just trying to help!

ciggie last night when pissed. but it can be months between smokes for me, and even then it’s only one. I have to say that the levels of self rightousness on this site amazes me, given that smoking is a completely legal thing to do.

I wish people would just get off their moral highground and let other people get on with their lives.
Frankly if other people smoke, and if it isn’t affecting your day, it’s none of your business. so **** off wagging your finger at strangers you’ll never meet, and go ride your bike!

I have a 85ps 2006 T5. it’s comfy, but def feels bigger than the T4 – not a problem unless you spend all your time on tiny country roads.

T4 is excellent though, and the T5s ain’t cheap. T4 doesn’t seem to notice the mileage so you should be fine with a van with a 100k on the clock.

get a larger engine, my van is ok on motorways, but really I’d rather something a bit on the more powerful side. 104ps will be fine, the 130 better, the 174, fab!

    What Clive said.

I still live in brighton and honestly wouldn’t live anywhere esle in the uk. proximity to sea/south downs is ace.

    I also love the people,

housing isgetting cheaper, though I still can’t afford a flat, but that’s life.

plenty of groups of riders – but give me a call if you fancy a spin.
