thats pretty cool, 6 inches of technology built by the lowest bidder keeping her safe.

looks like the front of a tie-fighter.

Another one for finding that riding rhythm and flowing smoothly down the trail. Riding a new trail for the first time too – reminds me of the excitment I felt when I started mtbing.

    Infidel:

its on the left of lewes road, heading towards sussex uni and lewes, funnily enough.

go past brighton uni, keeping going at the lights under the viaduct and its the big green bit on your left :)

The year of bike will make a difference too, recent ( past couple of years ) the size of the litre bikes is very close to the 600’s – they’ll be a little bigger but not by too much. A mate has a ’01 gsxr 1000 and that is smaller and more cramped than my ’98 zx6r ( as a comparison, I know its not directly related to the OP’s question…)

I had the same thing 3 years ago, going from a Marin to a stiffee. Love the simplicity and the point and shoot nature of the hardtail but alas, my back is starting to complain louder and recover slower so thinking of going back to boing…

I’ll try and keep the stiffee if i can though!

even made it out of one of the bomb holes

Ah, the ropes and spikes from the pitstop helped then!

That was a barmy night, kinda fun in a ” omg, every pedal turn is either giving me chainsuck or destroying my brake pads a little more ” kinda way…

I did our pairs first lap and the course was really nice, by the time of my next lap, well, y’all know that one…

    bonkers.

A high mileage bike that's been looked won't be a big risk, my fazer1000 is on 40k, used for instructing and us immaculate. A colleague has an fz6 on 98k. Look for as much service history as possible.

    Gotta love the 'corpse.

Not listened to much new metal recently, 5fdp are rather good though…mid to late nineties death metal time warp here.

The full test is the same regardless whether you take it on a 125cc or 500cc bike apart from on a 500cc bike they'd expect you to hit higher speeds and accelerate quicker (i.e. your not allowed to creep arround at 125 speeds).

nope, you have to hit the same speeds through the speed trap.

fair point wwaswas, i'll have a look for someone near brighton that can do that…

I had a great time, again, despite the pretty grotty conditions. Didnt become an issue until the chainsuck monster struck around 0130. Riding in a team of four gave me a chance to get things clean again but pushing through the mud annihilated my lower back though so the morning laps where off the cards, champion effort from the others in my team though.

the speed some of those fit folks where blasting along at demands alot of respect!
