too late for that i think. My favourite bikes where my old steel cindercone and caldera in the late 90’s. Wonder if i can get hold of a cheap 2+2 though, they look luvvverly…

why dont you see if anyone in your area is involved in the Get-On scheme? its basicly a CBT lite to introduce you to riding a bike before commiting to the expense of full CBT. Its free and is an hour. When my school runs them we normaly extend it a little bit, time allowing, to cover some of the more interesting stuff. At the end of it you know if its for you or not.

My school had one on loan ( ’10 ) and it was a lovely bike, comfy and the position good for town work. I found it a little gutless for motorway work, like it ran out of steam around 90. If you’re budget runs to it, try an 800gs…

I find a bell pretty invaluable on a busy southdowns sunday, having said that though, the amount of deaf/inconsiderate/ipod wearing people seems to be on the rise. My pro2 hub does a good job too, folk seem to think angry swarm of wasps is approaching.

Saw Corrosion of Conformity in the Concorde 2 in Brighton around 2006

I was at that gig, it was awesome, especialy the instrumental/jam session thing near the end.

Most recently it was Faithless at the o2 in december, didn know much about them and not a dance music fan but wow, absoloutley incredible; so much energy from the band and crowd. Definatley going to go again if the opportunity arises.

when I lived there I used barretto’s, which is the bike cellar now; dont what they’re like now unfortunatley. They’re next to the fire station on plymstock broadway.

No problems with them what so ever in the 5 years or so we’ve had them, reliably fast where I live.

Has the original file been moved or deleted? I had the imperial march as mine but accidentally binned it. It shoes up on iTunes but not on the phone. The only reason I can think of is because the file is missing.

Unless the zombies managed to do something daft to something important.

Another vote for Brighton mtb and the muddy @rsers, both very friendly, although the M@ would be more suitable for newcomer to mtb’ing. I live next to hove park so I’m quite happy to show you some local goodies. I plan on being at spooky’s ride aswell.

Chain tension should be so tight you cant pull it away from the bar.

thats too tight and you’ll risk warping or damaging your bar.

Sounds like a blunt saw and maybe your pinching it a little when you’re cutting? Dont forget to look after your bar too – take it off and file any burrs off the top and sides.

you should have got some files, give it a sharpen and again, dont forget to file the dogs down. ( the little bits infront of the cutting edge ) if they’re too small/big they can affect the cutting.

if all the above is fine, maybe its as suggested and something is blocked somewheres?

Stanmer by night ( wednesday evening when it still fresh )

best ride all year. The sepia light in the woods was bright enough to leave the lights off in some parts.

    The obligatory bike shot:

The trip home along the A27 was ” interesting “. The amount of mercedes’ we saw stuck was bonkers.
