Go do a CBT, mention you are looking at doing DAS and they’ll be able to assess how much time it’ll take to get up to test standard. You’ll need a CBT regardless of moving onto a bigger bike and its a good way to see if you like it!

Ive got three in my back, one upper, mid section and lower with the lower one pressing on the nerves in my spinal canal so been in a lot of pain. Recently had the injections and its been night and day. My specialist reccomnded taking pills as appropriate to keep excercising; builds strength and promotes blood flow to the area. the more you sit around the worse it gets.

I think our confusion lays in how we’re defining learner bike; I’m looking at it as the bikes a student learns on and passes their test, not the bike they buy post training. Anyway, OP: good luck and ride safe.

    Stop talking bo11ocks

Absolutely, lets get them back on to drums while we are at it, and cross-ply tyres along with UJM with hinges in the frame – that’ll show ’em…

Hardly talking bo11ocks b r, being taught how and why a bike reacts the way it does under heavy braking is far more useful a skill than being told ” it’s got abs mate, just grab it and hope ”

I’m not against abs, it’s on my personal bike and it saves lives but good training and technique will always be a benefit.

Abs shouldn’t be on learner bikes, it just teaches people to grab rather than correct technique.

Estop and avoidance manoeuvres are simple enough if you build up to them and any decent instructor will do that. The last thing I do with a student is the above manoeuvres and expect the speeds to be met first time. Slow and steady builds confidence.

I’m a DAS instructor, feel free to pick my brains.

got my one on Monday, really liking it so far. Looks great, amazingly fast. Things i dont like so far: the body, whilst looking amazing is really slippery. Im loathed to hide it with a case but i think i may have to. Not sold on blinkfeed yet.

Battery life has been good, had it 5 days, charged it twice.

1.8 petrol here, had it for three years and would quite happily get another one. Only problems we’ve had is the mass air flow sensor and lambda sensor died and put the car in limp mode. Fixed quickly enough though.

Got as far as page two before I went and hugged my two boys with a tear in my eye. Words can’t describe my sadness for you and I can’t think of any words that might help that haven’t been said already.

Shorts here too. If its chilly, 3/4 length tights. So long as my feet are warm I’m good to go.

Half life 1 and 2, totally immersed in the game. I bought a pc off the back a ten minute go on half life. The various mods still get played online more than anything else too.

Same as onzadog, but still instructing now. Find a good school and youre sorted. Any and all extra training is valuable post DAS.

No, it won’t. The DAS age is being raised to 24.

I’ve had a whyte t120 for a couple of months, raced it three times and done just under 600 miles on it and nothing has fallen off other than me. I love it, I do.

I remember the mtbpro article on him when he was training in the states and noticing the helmet tan lines. I found out about his death from a one inch column in the saturday express…I might go and hunt the net for Dirt.

I like the idea of 29ers, the intense 29er hard tail is gorgeous but the tradionalist in me can’t get over it. MTBs should have a 26″ wheel. It’s the rules!

    I fear change!

    I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
    Only I will remain.

by the Op sayinh he’ll take the item at the price mentioned a contract has been formed so the buyer could in theory sue the seller for breach of contract. My contract law is a bit rusty though.
