How often does this DPF regeneration need to happen?

And feel free to continue to post what the cars are like if you own one.

    Whats this DPF all about?

Probably not going to be doing much more than 10k a year.

Does'nt look like we will be as lucky as we was last Sept when we almost suffered sun stroke going up Fremington Edge.
We are travelling up Friday night so will miss out on the ride sadly.

Got a harris medium pile roller and thinking about it, it could be my roller technique as well as other factors like heat (i was painting last Saturday when it was baking hot) and cheap paint.

I am thinking of getting a 10L tub of Dulux Trade Super Matt later on and as its going to be cooler tomorrow get cracking with another coat of paint. Would it be worth watering it down a tad to keep a wet edge?

I have a hardtail Pipedream Sirius as my only bike, ive used it for the local weekly ride, wales, yorkshire dales, thetford, xc comps and its done me fine. I cannot afford more than one bike so thats why i only have one.

well i dont know with you tinsy ;o) but reading on looks like you have a frame from the same stables as a Marin and a Boardman so has some pedigree ;o)

as ive read on here many times its just hit and miss with halfords, but then again its the same with some DIY stores, its the luck of the draw who you speak to as to what advice you get. im sure tinsy knows enough to know when he gets told some BS

both bikes look nice mate, coming form someone who has just built up a cheap run about for his doris i think you have done well mate. im sure your wife wont mind the set up of it all or admire what gear it has got or hasnt got, she will just enjoy it for those icecream runs you do with your kids.
have you painted your lounge? i dont think much of the dado rail and come on tinsy can you not paint your radiator to match the white walls ;o)

ha ha you div! pipedream pic was taken in poor light so flash went off and the rockrider was in better light hence no flash. However i can see what you mean in regards the Pipedream pic. I can assure you its outside though :o) or is it ;o)
Probably a good idea i dont take any pictures of my bike in my lounge then, they will have a field day on here picking holes in the plaster work the lack of a fire place the dodgy carpet the lack of skirting.

tinsy you may be correct there. now i know why people take snaps of their bikes in the garden with a fence in the background or indoors with a nice big blank wall behind.

ha ha im getting more comments about whats in my conservatory than the bikes. isnt this a bike forum? or am i getting a taste of the legendary sense of humour ive read about that exists in this forum?

corr there's no pleaseing some people, like tinsy said its just a braking surface and i needed a disc ready front wheel hence the difference in colour (and my doris doesnt mind what it looks like).
I shall turn the disc's around tinsy as i dont want people laughing at my creation :o)

Not really useful but i have the old 2009 sirius frame and its a beaut. Enjoy the new one when it arrives guys, please post piccys up once built. I keep asking people to post their Sirius pics but i am yet to get anyone to do so, we are a rare breed i think.

tinsy i bet it gets done before my first build.
one tip i can give is if you are using a headset off an old bike make sure you keep the crown race that is fitted to the forks on that old bike.
I kept the old headset but threw the old forks away (which still had the crown race attached)and am now either trying to find a crown race to fit or go for a whole new head set + crown race :o(

perfick! lets hope all i need is that crown race. Or ill have to get my mallet out.

ill tell you what tinsy, how about another bottle of bolly and ill take it all off ya hands………along with that 180 disc? ;o)

    jim_1980

surely the headset you have will not work either if i have the wrong crown race?
