I had it tested for asbestos before we bought the place and it came back all clear.
It looks like its been put on by throwing a big blob at the wall and then spread it a bit so there are half inch steps in it. The only quote I’ve had so far is £950 to plaster over it and that was based on me going around and taking off all the high bits first to create a flatter surface. I was thinking of over boarding but didn’t like the idea of all the hollow bits it would leave underneath due to how uneven the surface is.
I might look into the commercial removal products next.

I’m running mine (triple) on a Hope BB and they have been perfect. Only problem was the three sets I sent back before I got a set I was happy with.

If you are flying anywhere public then you are best off sticking with electric. Just use a bigger battery if you really want to go faster.
Unless you are already familiar with setting up an engine the club route is best. A club will be able to help get it going and help with the inevitable dead stick landings.
FWIW I only fly electric at my club and my planes are some of the fastest and most powerful there (and the cleanest).

P.S. get some insurance (if you don’t already have it) even a trainer can be lethal.

Ordered a set of Middleburn cranks from them in February, took four days to arrive.
Still waiting for them to send me a good set after the first three they sent me were faulty but thats more down to Middleburn.

    Thoughts anyone
Should I just get some shimano instead?

Measured using a spirit level, ruler and a bit of trig.
I had always assumed that my middleburn cranks were top quality, now I’m not so sure.

I live in Ribbleton so I will keep an eye out for them.
My garage was broken into last month and even though they didn’t get a full bike its so frustrating.

I have a 2013 five, the crank bolt is not self extracting.
Undo the bolt and use a crank puller as normal on the drive side.
The bolt and the crank on the spline were both bloody tight on mine despite being heavily greased.

My prefab garage was broken into last week. After failing at the back door they removed one of the roof panels.
It was a cheap pir alarm that alerted me to somthing going on.
I have now ground all of the bolt heads down on the roof and added another alarm to stop it happening again.

Multiple alarms which go off in the garage and the house are the way to go. I use the cheap Defender brand ones from CPC, never had any problems with spiders etc triggering them.
The more methods of securing and the more noise you can make the better.
