Can you arrange the social  on an evening that happens to be the night before the non event or am I being a little naive?

Also, The Preston Gate in Poughill.  Always had good food there and they often have live music.

I’m a little further in land in Holsworthy, but we do venture out in Bude now and again.
For a curry I would rate The Bay Leaf
Life’s a Beach is good, shut tonight for club night.

Temple is good, if a little bit up themselves.

The Bank left us distinctly underwhelmed recently.

A little further south, The Wainhouse Inn which I’ve heard good reports about their Sunday lunches.

Boscastle – Rocket Store would be my choice.

Just a little north at Morwenstow, The Bush is good. Nice food & good beers.

a couple of others, Bulmer’s Arms & The Tree Inn have different pop ups but you’d need to check what & when.

Best fish & chip takeaway, The Mermaid gets my custom.

Have fun, we’re heading over to LAB later.

I’ve just gone from an 8 to a 12Pro and am really pleased, marked improvement.
Was about £280 from BackMarket. Great service from them. Ordered around 11am on the Saturday, delivered before 10 on the Sunday morning.

I have just ordered a 12pro from BackMarket to replace my 8 which is having more frequent tantrums of late.
As well as the pro’s improved camera I was swayed by the St-Stl. I’m sure it makes little or no practical difference.

I am a tech sales advisor for wood fibre insulation company. Standard advice depending on current construction would be for 40mm of wood fibre board adhered to the walls with a lime based mortar, finished internally with a lime plaster.
Be careful of any air gaps between the insulation and the wall, including dot &dab.
Attention to details dealing with finishing around the insulation is really important.

Come off at Gordano rather than Avonmouth it’s only a silly little section at the end of the Portway, but you’ll get charged.
There’s a Holiday Inn  south of the airport on the A38 but it’s showing as temporarily closed. Maybe worth a call. Must offer a shuttle / parking deal because there’s no other reason to stay there.

KingIsDead, that’s exactly my dad’s best watch! My brother and I are constantly winding each other up about who’s going to get it!! tbh I think my daughter will put play the pair of us!
    It’s a lovely thing.

Got some of their corduroy shorts and like them a lot.
Daughter is in the industry, very much towards the eco end of things and pronounced them to be ‘quite cool’ .

My wife bought me an Amazon Apple Watchalike to use for work. I think they’re about £35 ish.
Does what I want, basic messages, step count, movement alerts, music control.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it’s resilience. I’d happily replace with the same if it went tits up.

    Me again.
Your suggestions from my previous post have resulted in some online browsing, including this.

Now I’m not kidding myself that this will make me a watchmaker, I don’t mind the idea of putting some parts together and like the look of both watches.
    Price seems reasonable enough.
Does anybody have any experience with them, or any major pros/cons I’m missing?

I’ve gathered a few watches over the years, Seiko BFK & Sportura, both mean something to me and will keep both.
However, my younger brother and this thread have raised a yearning for a automatic tool / field (that might not be right!) type watch.
Explorer, Ranger type are very nice, but just don’t have the budget, and unlikely to in the foreseeable future so I’m looking for suggestions of similar. I do like Seiko, and have also looked at Laco Augsburg & Aachen.
Quite happy to keep squirrelling away a couple quid here and there to get something I’d like to keep, but there’s a limit there somewhere.
So, fire away with the suggestions.

    Stop what you’re doing.
    West Holts.
    Loyle Carner.
from the start. Sorry, but Pretenders, GnR, Manics. Old news.
Loyle had so much talent and delivers. Time and time again.
Why the need to excuse sub par performances with caveats of good for age, etc.

My BiL had a Royal Enfield.
He rode it less than 10 times and sold it.
He described it as hugely underwhelming and was left wondering why he bought it.

2 wheels, Rossi Austin Powers Honda.

Even though I like pretty much everything he plays, I just can not listen to CC in the afternoon. Or any other time for that matter.
MR,GC,TR & JSN are all enjoyable and play some great stuff. Far more exciting than many.
Weekend line up is decent. Giles disappears up his own hole sometimes, I’ve got a crush on Cerys, and enjoy Huey.
CC & Lamaq have run their course.

Stuff You Should Know. Brilliant at striking the level between know it all, and encouraging further research.
Stuff They Don’t Want To to Know. For the conspiracy realist. Somewhat America leaning , but enough there to entertain.
End of the World- Josh Clark. Should be on the curriculum.
Socially Distant Sports Bar. It makes me laugh & think fondly of my playing / racing days.
Chatabix – it’s just daft, but all the better for it.
Sorry, none of the hove meet your criteria, but it’s what works for me.

Danner Bullrun tick many of the same boxes as Timberlands, but would say that they are better quality and a little more scarce.

Both well thought out and rugged enough to last.

Probably a bit late for this year. But you may find some in Farm Shops or Deli.
They’re pretty good, but I would say that because I make them!
Plenty of stock in the bakery!

    Cornish Distillery Company.
    Because…
    It’s flipping lovely.
It’s made from raw ingredients, start to finish, by a man who is absolutely passionate about Rum
Ok, I’ll confess, because it’s part of the small group of brands that I work for, I was in there today mending a pump for him.
    It is really good.
    Sorry, couldn’t add link.

    100% do it!
Once I came to terms that at 40 + years old, overweight and frankly, a bit shit, i realised that wining was quite unlikely, it gives you license to just give it your best and have fun.
That’s not to say that as you’re getting lapped you don’t try and hang on to a wheel for 1/2 a lap (or 20 seconds!)
After washing out the front wheel and ending up on my arse in the same place I a h lap on 3 consecutive occasions, the joy of making it through on two wheels was great, and the spectators will see that and encourage you too.
    Absolutely nothing to lose.

I’m currently being spammed with pics from my eldest.
They got a great deal after plans for their uk train break was scuppered by the strike. It looks lovely.
La Pepica would be my first port of call based on pics.

    That’s just lovely.
You do know that this could get expensive.
I can’t in any way profess to know what’s good and what’s not, or even what is period correct.
I’m assuming they sound good, so purely on looks JBL L100s with nice stands.
Even if it’s only now and then, an evening with a glass or two of wine, some vinyl and a nice HiFi is a real joy.
    Do keep us updated.
