High chance of settling with simple measures – physio, pain relief etc. If not settled after three months seek an opinion (via GP).

Yoga/pilates reported by many to be very helpful too.

Alright – CAN’T wait for the green as have to get it in next four weeks – just how it is.

    So blue or orange?!

The green is good but too long to wait.

The orange is great. Just wonder if after a while it may seem a bit too, well, orange…

I have. Both ways. Several times!!

Think it is yes. Love the blue – just something about the orange though. (matches hair colour maybe!!)

Phone consultants secretary and/or waiting list co-ordinator. Try and be polite, many are not!! Just ask if they can clarify why taking so long. Most English trusts still hot on 18 week target.

Sometimes things get missed. Poor but the lists are run by admit staff who like everyone else sometimes make mistakes. Just rubbish when this means problems for patients.

If nothing else Askif you can be seen in clinic to discuss – we are always happy to see people when asked in these situations.

    Bol cheers.

In south yorks so but far! Not ridden a soul as no xl but I think it’s just what am after.

Currently have old full sus and an io rigid single speed. Of the two find the io more fun and want something closer to that but bit more flexible.

What build did you go for?

    Apologies for thread hijack!

Look up alval and metallosis. Metal on metal hips which resurfacings are are a huge problem which is not yet fully understood…

OK to rephrase I fancy a hardtail. What’s good? Fast uphill ok downhill, but not too extreme race position.

Look up stuff on alval and metallosis with respect to pseudo tumours.

In good hands resurfacing can be good but technically difficult and can be disastrous in wrong hands. Metal on metal bearings are also a potential minefield which is not yet fully understood. (in joint replacements that is)

Interesting that several countries who have ‘signed up’ to this have already said it will probably need to go to a national vote to be agreed.

So the uk could yet be far from the only one….

Worked with a couple of people who used to do the other way daily. They gave up in the end and used to stay in the week and go back on a Friday.

Snake pass on a nice day with no traffic when you’re fresh is a great drive. It’s horrendous as a daily commute. Ditto for the woodhead (A628). The M62 is a very long way round and also usually rammed with Leeds traffic from the west.

    In summary get the train!!

Try jacksons in mirfield – have their shoes made in Northampton and way cheaper than big name shoe brands, many of which are no longer made in England.

Barnsley indoor market also got a shoe stall who can get loakes for way cheaper than you will get elsewhere. They will also get them sent to you at home for free (they carry all sizes but not all styles)

Serious injuries even in senior rugby are statistically far from common.

Pretty safe accepting rate and odd things happen sometimes in all sports.

Get some conduction studies if not resolving. As mentioned this could be many many things. Some gp’s do struggle with msk stuff. As does everyone sometimes. They also have to know about a whole lot of stuff and differentiate rubbish from harmless and serious pathology. I wouldn’t want to do it…..

As above. See yOur gp. If they can’t do conduction studies get a referral to ortho or neurol who can
