Oh and if you do ride it, you need to have a complete white kit, inc shoes, and have been to the sunbed before you go out..
And smoke as you ride along..

Be surprised if someone who went to the efforts of buying that, does not have an idea of its current value.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

Are you sure you want to buy it ?
Not really a bike to be ridden ?

Link to an underwear shop, with women in underwear on the home page.
    So probably not work safe.
    Apologies.
Not working in an office, makes me not think of these things.

    Got them.
    Nice and light.
I have barely ridden mine, but others in my grop have them, and no bad reports i am aware of.

    Quick update for anyone interested.
Few washers on the chainset and belt ring sat fine in middle position.
    Chainline looks great.
First test was fine, other than the belt tries to walk sideways off the front ring under heavy tension.
Not entirely surprising as chainset I am using is slightly bent.
I have flipped the belt as suggested elsewhere and need to test again.
Otherwise will have to go from another chainset I have.
So positive ish, but a bit of a faff.
    Sounded nice and quiet though..

I would enquire on here as to anyone driving over.

Ok I can comment here, having been to a very 30/40 something party a few wees ago where games were much the form.
We had three teams – north/ south and locals
Very much a generation game feel to things
    1. decorate the little cake with icing
    2. reproduce the postcard painting using water colours
    3. playdo representations of feelings – i kid you not
    All scored off course
Followed by a high brow game of the name game – so describe a name from the hand without using positive pro nouns. far too high brow names being used – they were mainly academics.

My kwick fit in brighton seems ok ish.

Bought 4 new tyres online – what can go wrong i thought.
Booked in and fitted ok – checked before i left = different tyres fitted.
They were close – fitting sport contis as opossed to premium contacts.
They offered to change them – but i could not be arsed.

At the same time they suggested new rear discs and pads, which i knew were needed. I let do this, and new oil, and watched while they did the work. All looked OK. Gave me a deal on the price.

I also let them do my MOT – which passed no problems – however they offered to change some slightly rusty front discs that were otherwise perfectly fine.

Actually that rusty disk thing has annoyed me – somewhere else from now on me thinks..

    Work well.
Only possible downside is the weight, if that bothers you.
Go for a relived EBB – with holes drilled in it, to reduce the weight..

Goretex in boots make you sweat.
Leather is where it is at.
My original scarpa ( same as SL but earlier ) were replaced by zamberlan trail lites, but I think they will be too light for crampons.
I have some mantas that only come out when I go to the alps.
The zamberlans are slowing dying, and will prob replace with scarpa rangers having just seen them..

I have always stuck with scarpas as they fit my feet.
    Why change ?

I think it’s important to check for booby traps – hurts when they get trapped.

Peregrine has an EBB so as mentioned will allow me to fine tune chainline.
Issue I have currently is actually getting the ring to sit square on the crank arms rather, hence the suggestion of filing.

    Jerome

    Thanks for your thoughts guys.
The chainline is close with the belt wheel in middle position, so all should be good hopefully.
Epicyclo – i will assemble with a couple of washers between shoulders and chainset and see how that looks before i file the shoulders down.
I am left with a 118t belt and a 25t cog here, so options for something else if this works.

    Quick update.
    Shorter belt just fits.
But on inspection the belt chainwheel needs some fiing of the shoulders to fit happily in the middle position.
Th belt chainwheel obviously wants to sit on the outside position, but this would screw the chainline.
A job for when i get to my dads garage.

    Graham,
Do you know anyone with an iphone ?
I have the gates tensioner here, but would be expensive to post it to you..

I paid £300 for a repro from cool furniture, that looks exactly like the milan direct one. Came on a groupon deal I think. Was impressed with quality, excepting cushions as a few buttons fell off. I tried to get it fixed/ replaced but in the end I was given a total refund and told to keep the chair. Local cushion chap fixed it for me.
Chair sitting unloved in our store room, until I get my office.
At £300 I think they are a bargain, just factor in a button fix..
Oh and buying the real thing – I think these are already overprices as vintage piece. I have just bought a cracking heals original sofa for not much money..

    The thread still lives.
Well i am still in germany.
Just got back from a very cold and wet few hours of skiing.
Belt bits above look like the standard cdx gates stuff.
I had a shorter belt waiting for me here, as well as a crude looking tension tool.
Bike test later this week with a bit of luck.

    Now get on that physio.
Wobble board was recommended to me when I bust mine playing footie..

    Jerome

Why did the belt snap ?
    Poor tension ?
    Poor alignment ?
What do i need to look out for.. ?

    Jerome

I cannot see the need for an additional tensionser/ snubber.
The EBB is the perfect method to ensure correct tension, and I would not consider adding anything else to the system.
A bought a belt guide for the spare rear cog I have, which should stop the belt trying to walk off, if I end up using this on another bike. Be nice if a belt guide was available for the alfine, but figure there is not enough room on the alfine hub to mount one.
I ended up buying the gates eco-tensioner aswell, as it was cheap, and I had heard mixed comments about the app frequency method for tensioning.

The belt stuff is the older version, so NON centre track.
Centre track seesm to give many more gear options.
I downloaded the free gates tensioning app, which picks up vibrations to determine tension.
    Clever little app..

    Thanks guys.
The front belt chainring I had was a 46 and it fitted in middle position with maybe 5mm clearance to the chainstays, which gave me pretty much spot on chainline ( figured I can move the EBB a bit to get it perfect. Cranks are super stiff, and back end as stiff as any bike I have ever had, so hopeful no issues. Only potential prob is if the shorter belt I have just bought is too short, we will see.

I have same as ir bandito.
Frame seconh hand, and cheap alfine/ versa from on one, came in well under £1k.
The belt drive conversion I have just had fitted, adds a little more though..
    Great bikes.
Little bit heavy, but loads of fun.
