You are probably all correct in your assesment that is not actually excessive.
May find it hard to find a pan big enough to cook in one go though.
    Any suggestions for cooking.
Home alone this week, hence the purchase.

Try and get some paid/un-paid work expereince somewhere ?
University potentially but missing a year will not matter.

If you are considering travelling than NZ would be a great place to see as the countryside is amazing. I met a british guy there years ago that was doing unpiad work in countryside type jobs.

Maybe resign yourself to a year saving up and then go travelling.

We have scaffold outside our place.
It will be there till the next job comes up.
Cheaper than taking down and storing.
So much for my sea view.

    If you are still stuck.
    Buy Car mechanics magazine.
A good read and there is a column in there that deals with electronic diagnostics.
Chap in ther may be able to help.

Rebas or floats can be spaced down to 85mm.
Or put a wanted add up.
2nd hand Rebas would be my choice.
    As you could reuse them.

    Keep eating and drinking.
Haribos are good for something just to keep sugar levels up.
Lube up down below, especially if it looks like being hot.
Start as early as you possibly can, and take it steady.
Check your tyres – flints can be tough on em.
    Enjoy..

    Personally would never touch em.
Snapped a brand new carbon post in 30mins of dusk till dawn.
First big hill on first day of transalp, guy at top trying to fix his carbon bars with a stick.
Was only 2 mins later I realised I should have given him the gaffer tape I had in my bag.
    Carbon forks are OK though…
Just kep an eye on them.

    Check saddle level..
Long and low bikes makes my back feel good.
Noticed this yesterday when I rode my smaller bike.
So try getting yourself more stretched out.
Longer stem/ saddle backwards, poss with layback post.
Bars lower maybe to get more weight on your arms.
When you have enough room to get an inward arch in your back when riding, works for me.

    Try lots of different things…

Forks such as rebas and fox, can be adjusted with internal spacers.
I meant to get round to running spaced out 65mm travel rebas to my old steel marin, never quite got roun to it though, still got the p2’s on it.

Bought an Oris modern classic few years ago in sales for £200.
Think you need something better than a casio ( my other watch ) if you wear a suit..
Sometimes look in windows at watches and never seen anything else I would want.
Except a Maurice lacrois slim thin ñ but that was £2k.
    Cheers
