Done it on both.
Rode the SS 29er from B'ton to Winchester yesterday, and had to push a few hills.
Cx bike will be ok, you will have to take it steady on few descents and tougher tyres may help, as the flints can slash light cx tyres.

With admirable lucidity of thought he phoned home, where his wife was able to use Trackleaders to locate his SPOT – now literally on the wrong side of the tracks, at the back of some sort of warehouse – and guide Matthew to it. The felon was nowhere to be seen, and the bike was restored to its rightful owner. Phew.

There is a can of stuff you can use to clean out the system.
Basically a smoke bomb you set off in the car when a/c is running.
Then evacuate and let it do its job.

Just phone your insurance company they will be able to trace the car.
They will then write a letter to the other party.
You will need the witness, as I did not have one ( just a reg left on window )and hence got no where.

Any transalp route would not be considered technical.
Most of the riders are euro roadies, so even I had moments where they made me look good. The German one is supposed to be quite technical.
Used to be pairs only, although this may have changed.

Transalp all the way..
Pick a year where they are running a more techinical route ( normally finishes in Garda when do this ).
