Allan, what I meant was that I spend more time in slow moving or stationary traffic caused by the volume of traffic etc, rather than ‘inferior’ cars going too slowly/sticking to speed limits :lol:
The jelly ones are best, the cylinder with white in the middle second, the big double-decker one third, the rest (apart from the coconut ones) are a close fourth (I don’t like coconut so the wife or dog get those ones).
About 5 years ago I managed to crash at the bottom of the Pleney and stripped the thread for the rear mech off my old SC Bullett (no replaceable gear hanger), they thankfully drilled the frame and inserted a threaded sleeve to hold the mech (really tidy job), I left the bike with them overnight and I only missed out on 1 or 2runs :-)
I leave the TV on for the dog* when we go out and often leave it on Gold, I’ve found myself watching old episodes of Last of the summer wine when I get home a few times!
Sorry for the slight thread hijack, but it looks like most people ride it west to east, is there a specific reason for this? Has anyone on here done it in a day (If so what’s it like)?
