Next time I see him i'm gonna offer to sort it out for him and find out exactly what's happening.

The reason I care is that the lazy ****t isn't working so us (tax payers) and his mother are paying his mortgage and he's spending all his time pissed and stoned while his mother's working herself into an early grave, if it was just me I'd not care but my wifes worried.

Not deliberate fire, but the insurance co. may have refused to pay due to the state of the house, I estimate he's knocked at least £50k off the value in under 2 years (it's a propper state)!

Christmas'll be fine as we're going to MY Mum's this year! 8)

Thanks everyone, It's as I suspect and he's lying through his teeth and has either not payed for the insurance or there's something else (the insurance co. may suspect foul play). I thought it was odd when he claimed he was sober and not stoned!

He's not asked for money from us, but as he's my wifes 'little brother' I want to get my facts right before I start trying to work out how much shite he's in!

    Don't ya just love family!

Is it a real well? If so it's not difficult to cover over and you may even be able to tap into it for some free water, however if it's one of those fake wooden wells just set fire to it and it'll 'burn away'!!

We've just bought a 32" Sharp LCD from Dixons and are very happy with it. The free delivery turned up next day and I'm currently waiting for our £100 cheque! :D

How much would the weather affect the Black Country Museum? As we'll probably be a little hung over, which would be more hangover friendly?

I saw the Smashing Pumpkins in Manchester while on their farewell tour, although it was a technically good gig I was disappointed as it was a bit dull and lacked anything ‘special’ (that I expected from their last hurrah!)

ton- do the pole dancers in Leeds start off fully clothed and then strip down to lingere? If so I'd still count that as stripping (just not all the way).

Someone I know (he's a pillock) dyed his hair purple and decided to 'have a go' at his chest, armpits and bush, which is funny enough on its own, but even funnier when he had an allergic reaction

We were charged £25, but I was also quoted £50 by others.

For me it's not as much about the cost as it is about having to take time off work to be in for the sweep.

Another vote for Sloe Gin, if you don't have any homemade then the Sloe Motion gin is pretty good (avoid Gordon’s unless your mixing it, incidentally it's very nice with ginger beer).

Working with a lad who has now failed 6 times – in an automatic!!!!!

I do think that there are some people who should just accept it and get used to the bus!

Just keep trying it'll come eventually, you have years of being a potential organ donor to overcome, but when you do it'll just click!

While doing a survey of the Bodleian Library in Oxford and had to meet with the 'Keeper of oriental books', which I found funny, but better still her office was next to the 'blind peoples reading room'.

When you go to pick-up the pup take a blanket that the other dogs have both been sleeping on for the past few days and wrap it around the pup that way when you get home the pup already smells like the other 2dogs and will be accepted as 'family'

While out beating it's quite common to have to 'dispatch' a wounded bird, it's quite easy really (either snap it's neck or hit with a stick [like the queen!]). I don't like killing things for the sake of it but as a means of pest control or game (provided it'll also be a source of food) desn't worry me. I'm more concerned with people killing animals and then not eating them or letting them go to waste (like nearly happened with some sausages in an earlier thread).

Is the reason for it being an uninhabited wilderness that there’s not enough food to support a population (a bit like a desert environment) or is he just a bit crap at finding food (how much training / experience does he have)?

I agree that his grizzling is a bit annoying, but it’s a compelling watch.

To me that’s a bit like asking who owns the cows in a field, it's a (potentially) valuable commodity and owned by the land owner.

Find out who owns the land and ask them if you can have some of the wood (already cut / fallen), they may tell you where to go but you might get luck and they may let you take it -either way you've nowt to loose by asking.

I don't even close it if the wifes in, our bathroom doesn't have a window so I need all the natural light I can get as it's nicer to read in 'propper light'

Ernie, that's so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye

Thanks for the advice, I'll go for short and sweet and try not to burn any bridges (although I'd love to pinch one out onto my boss's desk and stick a little flag in it with the words 'I quit' )

Have a look at the Mazda 6, we've got an old one, done 108,000 miles with no probs, can fit 3bikes and 3 adults in it.

The Mondeo is a great car but as Mazda's owned by Ford you get all the benefits of the Mondeo but with a smaller price tag, there arn't as many of them on the road (which means it'll hold its value better than the common ford).
