I think there are alot of people making presumptions about something they have little real experience of, however that will never change (and I’m as guilty, but on other topics). One thing I do know is that people will never agree on this one so it’s best to ‘agree to disagree’ before this gets ugly and has to be pulled by the mods!

yossarian – as mentioned elsewhere not everyone involved is a Toff or a ‘witless, forelock tugging sycophant’ (although that is the traditional image). Most of us just enjoy being outside in beautiful countryside with good company and a shared interest in field-sports / field-craft where we come away with a good appetite and something for the pot! but hey we’re all entitled to our own opinions!

I have to say that I get really pished off when people state that shooting game is morally wrong as you don’t get much more free range!

My Grandfather was a game keeper and taught my Father to shoot, who in turn taught me and my Sister, she’s not shot for years, however I’ve kept it up and shoot when I can and beat most of the season (I’ll be out most Saturdays until the end of Jan now).

I’ve had Urticaria (hives/itchy rash) for about 9 weeks and the Dr has given me antihistamines (along with several other things). It doesn’t look like clearing up any time soon and I think it will take a long time to work out the cause. In the meantime I’m relying on the antihistamines in order to get through the day. The tablets I’ve got mean that I’ve not been able to drink (I had one can of beer and it stopped the antihistamines working and I nearly scratched my skin off 🙁 ), are there any antihistamines that I can have a beer with as I’m bored of drinks that are full of sugar while in the pub?!

How about one of these I got one a few years ago (when it was cheaper) for our chimney and it’s certainly up to the job for us.

Sorry, I’m not complaining and I really appreciate how lucky I am to not only be working, but to be working for a company who are still turning a decent profit and who are treating us employees well. When I got my new wheels a while ago I got Hope hubs because I knew they can be converted between QR and 20mm, which was great when I decided to change from forks with QR to forks with 20mm. I’d recommend getting the QR fork now so you can get out and ride ASAP and then look at getting hubs that can be converted when/if you upgrade your wheels.

Surely this is going to depend on the job as what makes one person ideal for one job could make them a nightmare for another!
