I always use to describe doing coke as God’s way of telling you that you’ve too much money – but Dog daycare probably tops it…

He can manage on his own, but I’ve got a meeting in Warwick and want to avoid driving back to Oxford to pick-up the dog to then drive back past Warwick to get to my Mums (oop-north)! I could leave him in the car, but it’s a little cramped and he’s likely to get bored and try to eat a seatbelt or something!!

I couldn’t stand them, but did quite like the house.

Thanks guys, but the reason I can’t ride at the moment is that I keep getting out of breath really easily – just walking up the stairs is difficult at times!

They still don’t look quite as special as some of the Five Tens though!

Firstly the design was only concerned with the aesthetics and there seemed to be very little concern for how the thing was actually built, the issue with the fixing down bolts could have been avoided if the frame was designed to be free-standing and the frame could have been designed so that it was easier (and therefore cheaper) for the metal workers to fabricate.

**Edit- these changes to the frame don’t have to affect the aesthetics, but can save a lot of time and therefore money by speeding up the build and making it easier for non-specialist -Edit**

Secondly it’s quite a large building, but is only a 2bed house, considering how expensive space is in London it seems to be wasting a lot of it (but I’m probably missing the point there!).

Thanks guys, just to put the BMW / Mondeo argument to bed, I’ve currently got a Mondeo Hatchback and even though it is a lovely car to drive I want something different as I don’t think my sanity would cope with another 80k miles staring at a near identical interior!!

Alpha’s current range only consists of the Mito and Giulietta and Lexus don’t do an estate.

It’s you, and many other blokes. What kind of thrills are you exactly looking for on the M3?

What I mean is that if you look at the current hatchbacks on the market there is a real variety of shapes and they are offered in a variety of colours, whereas these cars all look pretty much the same and are available in shades of silver, grey or blue!

Sorry for being vague, criteria is an estate with maximum CO2 of 160g/km, must have Bluetooth(company policy) and DAB radio(personal requirement) with max budget of £32,500. Is it just me or are all cars that meet this criteria just a bit dull?

Thanks for all the advice (even if I shall choose to ignore some of it!)

FFS, if I followed all the shaving, coffee making, knife sharpening advice I read on here I’d never have time to get out on a bike!

Yet you’ve still got time to try and argue about it 🙄

does anyone want to admit to still having confidence in the Jolly Boys Outing currently taking place at Numbers 10 & 11 Downing street?

No, but I also don’t have any confidence in any of the current alternatives 🙁

If there was an election tomorrow I fear I’d be drawing a c*ck and balls on a ballot paper again!!

Just after some thoughts about the job after next, what skills are more in demand.

I’d have thought that experience with both Oracle and T-SQL (whatever they are!) would be a big help as it shows versatility, especially if being paid to learn Oracle.

If nothing else I would expect ‘brand new’ to mean that the steerer is still full length/uncut, but if they have been fitted to a bike the steerer is likely to have been cut.

All I can think of is ride with some people who are happy to ride the rough stuff and who will encourage you to do the same and/or go and see a skills coach for some help.

oh and get a proper trap Humane traps are only that if the mouse doesn’t die of thirst waiting for you to turn up

It should be OK as it’s in the garage and I’m checking it every time I let the dog out! (although I would have got a proper trap, but it’s not worth the aggro from the wife 🙄 )

That is unless your tube is already growing stuff in which case the above suggestions will be what you want.

I forgot about one for quite a while a few years ago and when I found it again the tube was totally black. I rinsed it out and soaked it overnight and it came out crystal clear.

I hate the thought I might be scaring people

Not at all pal, the more information we have the more informed we are to make a decision, after all life is about deciding if the risks are worth it! Thanks again for sharing your story, I’m sure you will help more people than you will ever know.

My Mum used to say “why put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari?” however my body is far from Ferrari-like so in my case a tattoo would just draw attention to the shoddy bodywork! 🙁

grantus, so sorry for you loss and I wish you and your daughter all the best. If you don’t mind me asking what were the immune-suppressant drugs Sharon was on and how long had she been taking them? The reason I ask is that I’m currently taking Ciclosporin and have been told to be very careful in the sun (due to the increased risk of skin cancer), but not to worry too much as I’m only on a short course (3months).
