Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but has anyone found it on kodi or anywhere else yet?

I’ve got numerous systems for work all with different passwords so I’ve ended up with a password protected spreadsheet full of passwords (currently 23 different passwords!)

I thought you might be more concerned about the shit attitudes towards cycling in the UK.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I am concerned, however arguing about it on here hasn’t made it better yet and I doubt it will now!

Oh forget it if you’re all going to take the piss!

I’d probably just us the crossing to stop the traffic for me and cross the road safely (this may not be right, but people in cars tend to feel happier waiting at a red light rather than behind a bike and much better than being in the middle of traffic whizzing past in both directions)!

I can’t help but wonder whats the point in that bike, is it just a 29″ hardtail with skinny tyres and silly handlebars?!

Thanks for the advice, I’m struggling to find a CAAD12 in 63cm (especially as the frameset is only available up to 61cm and I don’t like green!). What alternatives are worth looking at?

Have you got the Supersix & Synapse to the same riding position or is there a big difference?

I’ve got them as close as I can, except they are different sizes (I think the synapse is a bit too small which really doesn’t help), my other difficulty is that the Supersix is a 63cm frame (synapse is 61cm) and there aren’t may bikes/frames in that sort of size available cheap!

Dunno what the geometry is like on the Supersix, but most Emondas are H2 geometry, which have 800mm headtubes.

Cheers for that – I got the H1 and H2 the wrong way around so it won’t be a Trek Emonda then!

Quite why you’d contemplate permanently relegating a Supersix to a turbo I’ve no idea.

The Supersix would only be on the turbo during winter / shite weather and muddy roads as an incentive to use the turbo and help prolong the life of the nicer components!

I’ve been married for 10 years and saw my best man on Saturday, so yes still in touch. We’ve both got kids now so don’t see each other a massive amount, but still talk fairly regularly and when we do meet up it’s now a little more family friendly!

Is it time for this pic again?

    How about this one?

Is it a case of copying the pros? The road racers are all skinny billboards and so it is seen as ‘normal’ to ride around covered in corporate logos whereas mountain biking doesn’t have the same level of sponsorship and so not as many logos on pros or weekend warriors!

I did similar, but called CRC who advised I complete the order and they then refunded the discount straight away (I think needed to send a screenshot of my BC dashboard as proof).

you can’t ban cycling on all dual carriageways. Some of them are the only way of getting from place a to place b (unlike motorways), and others are urban, low speed, and completely safe for cycling.

    This ^

It still surprises me when I see cyclists using the A34 (the nearest thing to a motorway without actually being a motorway)!

(Aside, there’s an area at work we refer to as the perineum, as it’s between the front doors and the back doors.)

The area of Nando’s between the front and back door is called the Peri-peri-neum!

The garden is surrounded by others, but doubt it was neighbours as the treats were all in one area. We know both next door neighbours fairly well so doubt it would be them and they were at least 6m from the back fence.

We’ve not let him eat any and my wife isn’t keen on testing them!

I know plod won’t do anything, but if there is something suspicious other people might report similar (or not, hence asking)!

He doesn’t bark all day/night and isn’t left on his own much. Edit: we know neighbours pretty well and they all say he’s quiet when we’re not there.

I loved the audio and the riding is beautifully smooth and controlled, but I found the flicking between camera angles felt a bit disjointed at points!

    1:00-1:22(ish) is fantastic!

We occasionally see groups of RAF squaddies out for a walk/march on the road*, they always make the same weird heckling noise as we pass (it’s a bit like the noise my son makes when playing with his toy cars). I’m not sure why, but they seem to enjoy it!

*the mix of camouflage and hi-viz clothing always raises a smile!

How about the Cannondale CAAD 12 (it’s a little over budget, but might be able to find a deal somewhere), I know a few people who use them for racing and rave about them.

Also what’s with the mud guard ?

I presume it’s there due to the alps being a mud-bath!

The 972 is a great compromise IMO but, assuming your local constabulary are as picky as mine, you ought to have the light board too.

What’s the rules on needing a light board and number plate and what can you generally ‘get away with’?

Thanks all, is a ‘behind the ball’ or ‘on the ball’ fitting better?

The car will have a folding towbar, if using a behind the ball fitting would it need to be removed before the towbar is folded away?

It does take a little while to swap everything over

Do you adjust the stem between road and TT? Other than that, swapping wheel(s) and seat and fitting tri bars do you make any other changes?

I’ve just packed the bags and it turns out that 2hold bags and a bike box is enough and so I’ll only need a rucksack as hand baggage after all! The new bag won’t be used and will be sent back!

Cheers all, I’ll see how we get on then. I’m flying with wife, 3 yr old (who’ll only have a small bag of crayons etc) and a baby so hoping that I can point the cute and/or screaming baby at them and smile if challenged then stick the bag under the 3 year old’s feet!

I regularly buy Outdoor Fitness (or whatever it’s now called) to read on the train when I have to go to the London office. As others, I prefer a magazine to reading a screen, but also find that a magazine rarely dies when I forget to charge the battery!

How about a Mazda 6 (like a Mondeo, but slightly cheaper). If I loose the company car I currently have I’ll be straight out to buy another!

I’ve had about a dozen removed in 3 or 4 sittings over 15 years. When I first went to the Dr they did it in the minor surgery clinic, but last time they weren’t too keen, but agreed because one was rubbing under my bike helmet, so I was sent to the plastic surgeon at the local hospital who then found 4 more to take out while he was at it! Always had them checked and never any issues. My scalp is now covered in tiny scars, but you can’t see them under my hair.

I love the ironing that the principal sponsor of the Tour of Britain is now trying to piss off cyclists!

Asbestos Containing Materials vary massively so you need to get a specialist in who will asses the risk and recommend the best action (likely to be a case of make it safe and leave it be)!

used too big a gear on Sunday?

I think this may be the culprit (I’ve had a bike fit and no issues in the last 2-3 years so doubt its the seat height etc). It was a fast flat-ish ride and although I’ve been trying to increase my cadence over the winter I think I reverted to type and pushed too high a gear. I’ll keep resting and take it easy for a bit, then keep trying to increase my cadence and work on some more stretching and strength exercises to try and protect my knees (if/when I get it wrong again!).

Mactheknife, what strength excersises have you been doing that have helped?
