I don’t see the point in having any more than 10 or so shirts or T-shirts (excluding specific dress shirts, biking tops etc) as I find myself going back to ‘favorites’ every time they magically reappear in the wardrobe. I’d have to buy a much larger washing basket to ever get down to the 50th shirt!!

We’ll be in Morzine enjoying the ‘DH shenanigans’ between the 12-21 July 🙂

It’s not a movie, but this one struck me as pretty realistic:

Make sure you pick a route with a few options to ‘bail-out’ so you can fain injury and head home early when he’s beating you up every climb and down every decent!

I have to admit that those videos of soldiers etc returning home to surprise their kids get me every bloody time!

I like it, for reasons I cannot quite fathom.

Is it the ‘in vogue’ internal cable routing?

They seem like an expensive solution to a bit of a non-problem, with shoes I don’t intend to tighten or adjust I just tie the laces as desired and cut off the excess lace!

Does this mean that the council should also stop market traders wearing Man-U football shirts, as they are offensive too?!

Thanks all, they look great. What internal height(s) have you gone for? I don’t want it to be too tall, but I also don’t want it to be grown out of too quickly!

I’ve not bothered to read through all the posts, but saw this yesterday and thought it fits with the title nicely:

How are the Saints in Muddy conditions, they look like there’s quite a large surface area for mud and shit to stick to making them slippy?

That’ll be about right as 10% off the current price will make it £4 cheaper than it was this morning, bloody marketing people think we’re all stupid 🙄

I’d forgotten about Toys-R-us (which is daft as I worked in the bike bit one Christmas while at uni – I sent quite a few people to the LBS to buy better bikes!!). It looks like it’ll be a trip to both on Botley Road, Oxford then 🙄

I hadn’t noticed it either, thanks!

He appears proud of himself, if that was me I’d be acutely embarrassed and would probably delete the video before anyone else saw how much of a silly boy I’d been, I certainly wouldn’t be giving interviews about my crap riding!

I stopped subscribing a couple of years ago when the mag seemed to be getting a bit ‘samey’ (the same happened with my MBUK subscription a few years earlier!), I still buy the odd magazine here and there (usually when having to spend more than an hour on public transport!

I kept using the website after I’d cancelled the subscription, but now only really look at it on a Friday, for the Randoms, or if something catches my eye on Facebook! The current format is horrible and over the last couple of years the race coverage has been overtaken by that of Pinkbike’s, who also tend to upload videos (This is Peaty etc) quicker than Dirt.

This is brilliant timing for me as I was reading the article about this in the MBUK History of Mountain Biking magazine on the train this afternoon, it’s nice to see some footage as well as the stills and description in the magazine 🙂

Your best bet is to try a few as you’ll find some are far more comfortable than others, depending on the size and shape of your head! If you can’t get to a shop where you can try them take advantage of CRC (and others) free returns!

Freddy Flintoff managed to spit open a blokes head during practice once (the chap was sat reading his paper at the time), afterwards he was sent a signed helmet as an apology!!

is it green and are you going to sell it?

Sorry, but it’s black. I will be selling it, but not until I’ve got a replacement.

It is frankly nearly impossible to get a bigger frame on 26″ wheels…

Would I be better looking at FS then? If so what’s worth a look (that won’t bankrupt me (I’m tempted by the Nukeproof Mega TR, but I’m waiting to see if CRC reduce the price a bit more)!

Thanks molgrips, but I’m also getting rid of a lightweight (and crap) flymo, as I’m laying new turf I was looking for something with wheels, adjustable height and metal blade!

Thanks wilsonthecat, but unfortunately your a bit too far away 🙁

Thanks for all the feedback, it looks like I’ll go for the little Bosch as I don’t think I need anything bigger for our 40m2 lawn! I just need to lay the turf and and let it bed in first.

I had an old Mazda 6 and loved it, only got rid because I was given a company car and the wife wanted something smaller, but if I needed to buy my own car again I wouldn’t hesitate in getting another.

Does anyone know if this Bosch is any good? There are a lot of very mixed and contradictory reviews!

Why would you buy two consecutive houses on top of a graveyard?

To try and stop their sons having sex?!

I prefer the Sram thumb shifter to Shimano so run Sram rear mech and shifter, but get whatever chain and cassette is on offer at the time of needing a replacement, I only run 1×9 and have RaceFace cranks with RaceFace or Hope BB and Hope Brakes on both bikes!

I pop the lens out and wash the frame and strap under running water if really mucky, but usually I just let them dry and clean the lens.

I know you just want to increase upper body, but these videos seem quite good and there is some upper body stuff that might help with building that and improve your cycling: http://www.pinkbike.com/u/mtbstrengthcoach/channel/all/

I use both (Nectar for easyjet flights and Clubcard for days-out/cinema/restaurant vouchers), but then pay with a Partnership (John Lewis and Waitrose) credit card, last week I got a nice £20 voucher which will probably buy a nice bottle of Rum!
