It’s very impressive, but what does he do with the strength/control (other than show off on t’internet?)? Is he a gymnast or martial artist(is that a term) or is he just an internet poser?

IMHO you can’t go far wrong with Air arms, BSA or weihrauch, but I’m no expert! Have a look on guntrader.co.uk to see current second-hand prices.

I’ve not read through all the replies, so sorry if this has already been said, but in my opinion you should tell her and compare your experience to your sister and her children’s and use it to reassure your daughter that adopted children are no different to biological children in that they are still loved and so her new cousins are ‘real’ family. Good luck with whatever you do.

Also why is there a ‘massive eight burner grill’, but only a ‘mini refrigerator’?

But would you once realising that you could not help the person being beaten to death , then proceed to video it on your mobile phone.

I’d like to think that they were videoing it so they can give to the police for evidence!

I’m not sure I could’ve stopped myself tbh, if they weren’t armed.

I think this comes down to how individuals deal with the fight or flight reflex, I can’t honestly say what I’d do (although I’d like to think I’d do something).

The saddest part of that story is the fact that rather than wade in to help , customers instead pulled out their mobile phones to film it.

To be fair there were 6 people attacking the victim and they were ‘screaming at other diners to keep away or they would face the same fate’. It must have been terrifying and although I’d like to think I’d have done something, even as a 6’5″ male I don’t fancy my chances against 6 loonies who are hell-bent on killing ‘demons’!

Went for a pee on a Virgin train.

I did this a while ago, but when I pressed the button to enter the loo the door slid open to reveal a shocked 40-something woman frozen in embarrassment mid flow, I tried to stop the door and re-close it, but the bloody thing wouldn’t close until it was fully open so I stood there feeling really uncomfortable while it opened so I could close it for her. I then had to walk through 3 carriages to get to the next working toilet as I wasn’t going to wait for her to finish! 😳

far enough to need to patch yourself up

I’ve just got a Lloyds Travel First Aid Kit which I bought mostly for the case as it sits in my bag nicely. I’ve changed the contents a bit and added a few personal choice items (spare contacts, eye wash, foil blanket, a couple of extra self adhesive dressings and zinc oxide tape). If I need anything more than the contents of this first aid kit then I think it’s more serious than I can cope with!

The fact your in the Alps doesn’t make any difference, the thing to consider is how far from medical help will you be?

Edit: if your going to one of the more popular destinations you’ll probably just need some blister plasters and aspirin!

My Mum and Dad used to do exactly what your planning while I was at Uni (although this was nearly 10years ago), I think it just depends on the individual insurance companies as to how easy/expensive they make it!

I’ve fitted these to our kitchen cupboards to keep our little-one out and they seem to work really well. The only issues we’ve had are that you have to remember where you put the magnet ‘key’ (we just stick it too the fridge), you have to drill a hole in the inside of your cupboard door and the screws that came with it are crap (I used some others that I had in the garage). I like that the outside of the cupboards don’t look any different and they are really easy to switch on and off (so I can switch them off while cooking when I’ll be in and out of the cupboards).

    Remember the voluntary curfew.

Yep, was planning on doing it early morning to avoid too many walkers and so I meet them head-on while descending rather than sneaking up on them from behind!!

Sorry to hijack, but I want to hang my bikes vertically from the wall, but don’t want them sticking out into the garage too much, is there a simple way to hang them at an angle, a bit like this:

EDIT: Image is supposed to be from above looking down with top horizontal line representing the wall!!

I visit for work regularly (meant to be in Blackfriars today, but had to cancel) and find the commute a PITA. I really enjoy visiting as a tourist where I don’t have to deal with rush hour or get anywhere by specific times etc. I’m a country bumpkin at heart and don’t particularly like crowds so hate the tube at rush hour!

Can I narrow it down to something real that you could fit in your house.

The deeds to a large area of land with a decent income from ground rent.

And money or gold etc are no good as you obviously can’t exchange them for anything.

I don’t need to exchange them for anything, just collect rent 8)
