can you pay for priority security clearing?

As we’ll have a 22month old this is probably the best option!

As he wants to learn English he might be better Somewhere with a slightly easier to understand accent 😉

I’m in a similar situation having recently got my first road bike. My plan is to keep riding what I’ve got this year and buy something nicer for summer 2016 (by which point I’ll have done 2 winters and will know if the investment is worthwhile), my current bike will be relegated to winter/crappy weather!

I find your annoyance annoying because I am enjoying a glass or two myself. I’m sure we’ll both feel better about it in the morning

    FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT…….. 😆

    What are you, 15?

Unfortunately not, but I am a creature of habit and can’t be arsed finding something else (this is part of the reason I never bothered finding an aftershave I like) 😳

I’ve never worn aftershave and have been complimented on smelling nice several times (I’ve always used a fabric conditioner and prefer subtle nice smelling clothes to aftershave), although I still use Lynx Africa deodorant so my opinion doesn’t matter!!

    1. A 22lb hybrid, if it exists, is likely to cost £1.5K odd+

Ahh, I didn’t know about the price!!

    2. Why have a SUV but not even put the back seat down to get a clean bike in it?

Ahh, the point isn’t that the rack doesn’t fit, but that he ‘can’t now drive my new bike home’!!

Sorry, I’m being a bit dim today 😐

I’m not sure what’s funny / odd about either, the first seems to have a set of requirements and wants to know what you’ve got to fit the bill (although the weight thing is either a typo or a bit odd) and the second just wants a bike rack that’ll fit his car – maybe it was the way it was said / you needed to be there!!

Sitting down for a late night pee* and forgetting about premature morning glory and peeing through the gap between the seat and the bowl!!

*because you’re trying not to wake anyone with the light or extractor fan*

My suggestion of Minnie for our daughter was also overruled.

When my boy was in hospital there was a girl called Minnie Princess 🙄

I don’t think the castle will be particularly pram friendly if you are still using it

That’s a good point, I’ll take his rucksack carrier so I can stick him on my back for the steps up there – just need to remember he’s there before walking through any low doorways!

I’m a bit puzzled where the welsh part of that comes from

It was being reported on BBC Wales!

    EDIT: too slow

I think one of the major problems we have at the moment is that the people making the decisions on cycling infrastructure aren’t cyclists and don’t really understand the issues and so do what they think is best, but usually get it wrong!

We’ve also got an issue in that cycling isn’t just cycling, a commuter or wannabe racer doing 15-20mph has very different needs and wants to a family going for a nice Sunday ride or a little old lady pootling to the shops!

The biggest problem is one of a lack of space and a selfish culture!

I’m sure somebody will be along in a picosecond with a link.

    Hello 😆

Sorry, no link as it was quite a while ago and I can’t be arsed searching that far back, although it is good so worth another look to make sure I’m doing it ‘right’!!

Thanks all, I’ve got an appointment on Friday morning to see the Dr (unfortunately it’s the same Dr who told me that hooping cough I had a few years ago was just a cough so I’m prepared to be a bit pushy to get a referral!)

Your children are able to tell which parcels arriving at your house are likely to contain haribo.

Yep, my 20month old has now learnt that the boxes with the orange bottom (Wiggle) contain sweets!

    You have PA insurance…

If your personal assistant needs insurance you’re riding her too rigorously! 🙄

These dogs with human names .. Alan, Colin, Jeff etc.

Imagning if these type of names were used for babies now….

The heir to the throne is named after our dog (or at least they have the same name and the dog was here first)!

I got my first road bike on the cycle to work scheme just before Christmas (it had it’s first outing yesterday) and my boy got a balance bike from grandma Santa:

You all know that Windows has had variations of an “Add/Remove Programs” applet for the best part of 20 years now, yes?

Yes, but I couldn’t remove all the Toshiba crap on my last laptops using the Add/Remove Programs thingy!

EDIT: msconfig didn’t seem to work either!

How accessible is the HD in the company laptop?

It may be possible, but definitely against IT policy and not worth the potential bother!

Is it really a big deal?

Probably not, but it is to me! A past machine had loads which insisted on loading every time I switched it on and I couldn’t work out how to remove it (probably just me being dim), this was particularly annoying when the machine started slowing down!

Thanks all, looks like I’ll just have to find a way to remove it (either reformat or use pcdcrapifier).

    ERM, I pay for it…

I suspect that Top Gear makes the BBC money as so many other channels buy it, so technically WE only pay in the short term!

PM your postal address to me and I’ll stick a couple in an envelope.

+1, for some reason I keep them, but do nothing with them so have loads on the shelf in the garage!

When Guy first started appearing on TV I wasn’t too sure, but the more I see and read about him the more my man-crush is growing, he just needs to win a bloody IOM TT!

Thanks all, I now need to find something suitable to book and train for (hopefully the FoD enduro will be on a suitable weekend). I’m sure this has already been done before, but do you have any specific areas to look at while training? My main goal for this year is to get fitter (and shift a little bit of weight that’s snuck on since my son arrived), so I can enjoy riding more, but are there any other areas that in your experience may need a bit of attention? Thanks

I was thinking stand alone bike insurance, but welcome your comments on it’s cost (in which case I’ll get a few online quotes for stand alone and then go back to my contents insurance provider and see what they can do!)
